A Day To Celebrate

Gratitude is really a must which is why one must show gratitude to the source that gives life. Today happens to be the day I add another year . It has been a lot of ups and down over the years. I'm not where I want to be yet but I'm certainly not where I used to be . I decided to celebrate it a little by inviting few friends over to come eat and drink with me.

I had my girl over ,so she handled the cooking perfectly. She made Nigerian jollof rice along side fried plantain and chicken. It was a whole lot of activity in the kitchen but she managed to pull it off . Friends started coming over in the afternoon and it was nice having them around to come celebrate with me .

As the day unfolded, laughter filled the air as old memories were reminisced upon and new ones created. The aroma of the delicious food filled the house, teasing our senses and making our mouths water in anticipation. With each passing moment, I felt grateful for the love and friendship surrounding me on this special day.
