My Recent Macbook pro experience.

Like every web developer, I dived into the world of Macbook pro sometimes ago and getting my first Macbook was cool. The size, speed and value around Macbook products are always the best. As we all know, MacOS is fast and pretty efficient and I must say that I enjoyed the speed. I read somewhere that Mac users are 25% productive than windows. Well... I can't agree completely with that in 2024 where we have those crazy a** Dell Alienware.

Few months ago, my Macbook pro 2017 stopped working and I took it for a repair. They said I ignored the battery and it went completely off. I asked for the bill for a new battery and it was all summed all to N100,000 in my currency. That is some people 2 months Salary here in Nigeria. I replaced the battery and it came back to life. After 7 days, I closed from the office and put my computer on sleep. After some times, I noticed my bag was hot. I opened the bag to check and my computer was hot that I could not touch it, as if it was on fire.

I managed to take it out and opened it. It came up and went off. I took it the engineers again and the guy said what happened to my computer was like how human suffer from epilepsy. Well, that was the beginner of new issues. It came up that day and I continued to use it. After 2 months, I was using the computer and the screen showed lines and went completely blank. I took it to repair and the engineer said, we need to replace the screen and all bill summed N400,000. I check YouTube and I saw many videos of people complaining similar issues. The engineer said, Mac is not your life companion. They are here to make money. I still find it difficult to believe that my screen can go bad without a crack.

Well, I am done with those drama. I bought a new Dell and it is serving greatly. The speed it awesome and I have no regret dumping my Macbook.
