Staking My Tomato 🍅 || Life Of A Gardener

Hello everyone,

It is another beautiful and wonderful day and big thanks to @c0ff33a for the initiative and #beautifulsunday by @ace108 . I hope you're all doing great and having a wonderful weekend in your various places. I will be sharing with you today about the latest development in my garden which comprised of tomato 🍅 plants and peppers plant. Though, I will be talking about the tomato plants since it's the one I mainly focused on.

The tomatoes plant has been doing quite well and it started producing fruits since last month and I have been picking from it and enjoying the fresh tomatoes to prepare my dish.

What brings about the article was that, I noticed some negative sign towards the development the tomatoes plant which am not happy about and that's why I have to quickly come up a solution.

What really happened was that, the rate at which the tomatoes plant is producing fruits since the start of this month has been massive. And this is what leads to the tomatoes plant falling to the ground and some of the tomatoes started getting infected and eating by insect.

Too much of fruits can be a great challenges to the tomatoes plant as the tomatoes fruit usually contains water which maybe too heavy for the plants to bare with. During this period the tomatoes plant need a support or something to rest on to prevent them from losing balance. And that's why I come up with the idea of staking.

Staking tomatoes is not a new thing as my gardener does this to give the plants the needful support and keeps the plants above the ground level from being infected with diseases and keep off the insects.

The materials used for the tomatoes plant staking are rope and bamboo stick.
