TIL The Creator of Frisbee Is A Literal Frisbee ?! 😅

Or to be more precise, a limited number of frisbees 🙃

But let's take everything from the start.

Meet Ed Headrick, chances are you have never heard of him. At least I know I hadn't:

Also known as "Steady" Ed Headrick, he was a toy maker best known for being the inventor of modern-day frisbee and the sport of disc golf. The photo above was taken a couple months before his death in August 12, 2002.

Anyways... Per his wishes after his death he was cremated and his ashes were used to make a limited number of discs.

Most discs were given to friends and family and a few remaining were sold with the proceeds going to the "Steady" Ed Memorial Disc Golf Museum in Columbia County, Georgia.

I guess in the end he became what he loved most. A frisbee 😅

I wonder if any of those limited discs has been used to play fetch with a dog. For some reason I think he would entertain the idea very much!

Dude loved frisbees so much he literally became one. Imagine someone casually throwing one of those discs around, not knowing it’s got Ed’s ashes in it 🤣👀

I suppose if we're going to meet our ends by our career choice, my ashes are going to be inside of some Covid vaccine, or possibly in some Viagra pill. Now that might cause unexpected side effects, but the good thing is that everyone already hates the Covid vaccine, so I'll be ok.
