Efígie da República (2000 Reis, 1907)

Back with another coin from the stack. This one has been in my possession for a while now and it was a gift from @goldrooster !
Let's check it out
A 2000 Réis coin from Brazil, minted in 1907.
Now, this is a coin I love for two reasons.
First, it's a nice chunky boy. 20 g of 0.900 purity. Very fucking nice :)
And second, I just love the vintage font on the reverse!
The text on the obverse translates to
Republic of the United States of Brazil
1912
Depicted is Efígie da República (Portuguese for Effigy of the Republic) a national personification, both in Brazil and in Portugal. She also wears a Phrygian cap, a classical symbol of freedom, a symbol originating back to ancient Rome.
On the reverse, the text translates to

The edge is fat and reeded
All in all, a simple, chunky and manly coin. I can only imagine how nice it would feel to have a bunch of those in your pocket 😁

Es una moneda preciosa. Seria realmente bueno tener un montón en el bolsillo. Naaa, es broma, con una para coleccionar me conformo. Tengo una muy interesante. Es una moneda conmemorativa canadiense de 2 doláres. Se emitió el 19 de febrero de 1996 para conmemorar la sustitución del billete de 2 doláres por esta moneda. Es una moneda bimetalica con centro de bronce, anillo de níquel y bordes estriados discontinuos. En la parte frontal tiene una imagen de la reina Elizabeth II, con una inscripción que al traducirla sería algo así como: "Reina por Gracia Divina". No es interesante? En la parte posterior tiene un oso polar. Lamentablemente se emitieron un gran número de monedas por lo que su valor económico no es tan grande, pero esto no le resta belleza. La tienes
