25 Pennia (Finland, 1916)

What's up plebs?!

I am back with another coin, although this one is way way way smaller than what we usually see.

A tiny 25 penis pennia from Finland, minted in 1916:

I did try to do my best with the pics but it's so small I couldn't capture the finer details. Plus, the condition doesn't help either :)

Anyways, on the obverse we have a crowned imperial double eagle holding scepter and orb. I believe this is the Russian coat of arms, which makes sense considering that 1809 to 1917 Finland was an autonomous state ruled by the Russian Empire. Back then it was known as the Grand Duchy of Finland.

The reverse is even simpler, just the minting date and denomination.

When it comes to composition we have 1.2747 g of 0.750 purity, giving us a pure silver weight of about 0.95 g. As I said, tiny. :)

In case you wonder, it seems these little guys go for about 3 dollars a pop but I was lucky and got it for about 1.5 with the capsule included.
