Wagon Life, Plus Banana's

This weekend, I have been looking after my friends place. Her and her family took a short break and they needed someone to look after their animals, dogs, cats, guinea pigs and chickens. They have such a beautiful property. They have turned the land into an oasis and anytime I am there, I always feel completely relaxed, like my shoulders just drop.

That beautiful wagon above, which was built by her partner, was where me and my girls slept. I must say. I would love a wagon. My girls want to live in a house, but maybe I could manage to rent a small house and build myself a wagon. Something that I can move around in, at a later date. My friends partner is a crazy talented woodworker. The attention to detail in the wagon and in their own (which is larger than this one), is amazing.

And yes that is a dragon that you can see carved on the side. Their land, is known as Dragon Land, as there are dragon's at the entrance and throughout the land. It has such a magical feel to it. Being there brings out the inner child in me, as I roam the land, like I am in a fantasy. It's so easy to let your imagination run wild here.

It also helps, that there are some of the most majestic Olive Trees residing there also. Which just adds to the magic. Once I had tended to the animals, I spend my time chilling in one of the hammocks or lying in the grass with my girls, looking up at the Olive branches and the sky. I love to walk barefoot, but even that, can't compare to lying down on the earth. Allowing yourself to feel it's support, to slow your breathing and sink in.

And then, there were the banana's. That first photo up above, is a shot of the banana blossom. You can see it more clearly in the photo just above. It's such a beautiful flower and as a banana lover, what could be better that growing your own. There are not too matter people growing banana's around these parts, so it's great that they have been able to grow them here. They have also successfully grown mango's, which are usually grown closer to the coast.

I got back early this morning, as I was working at nine. But it really felt like me and my girls also had a wee holiday, receiving some well deserved medicine. I have also been thinking more indepth about the animal sanctuary, I feel called to create. Because if not now, then when. It's definitely needed, so watched this space.

That wagon is gorgeous! The property looks really cool, and it's great that some tropicals can grow there! I wish you overwhelming success on creating your animal sanctuary, @trucklife-family! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
