My childhood! 🧡

When I was 2 years old, my family moved to Istanbul. We moved to one of the oldest neighborhoods of Istanbul when I was very young. I started primary school here. My grandfather and my whole mother moved here after us and I can say that I spent almost my whole life here. More precisely, my most innocent times... Then I grew up and moved to different districts of Istanbul, but my mind always stayed here. There were very old shopkeepers here where we used to come with my grandfather. Picklers and sweet makers. We used to come here to shop with my grandparents from a very young age. The same shopkeepers still continue to operate. I also come and shop here from time to time.

My grandfather passed away recently. I used to come here with him the most. Now when I come here alone, I think of the times we used to walk around here with him. It seems like it was just yesterday. I don't understand how quickly we have grown up and it's time to say goodbye to our loved ones. After getting a little emotional, the shopkeeper called me and I went into the shop and bought 1 kilo of sweets and took them home and served them to my loved ones.

The world is really a very strange place, so is living! We live as if we are never going to die, but life is all about what is and what is not. Everything is a lie! That's why it is most important to make good use of time and spend more time with our loved ones. When you look back, only good memories remain in this life. Coming here reminded me of what is really important. ✨
