To be good or to be bad, a label we can change ourselves

Today being a sunny Sunday (here in Romania), and having more time available to write a few lines for this weekend engagement, I decided to share my point of view about the situation in which good people can do bad things and bad people can do good things.

To begin with, I would like to mention the fact that we, as human beings, already have preconceived notions about good and evil, namely if we hear about someone being a bad person, that person only does bad things and if we hear about a person being good, that person the person does only good things.

Look, I cannot share the same conception and sometimes we have to give them a chance to prove the opposite, in everyday life I believe that this myth can be destroyed.

First of all, we have to analyze people, man is a complicated being, not all people are the same, not everything they think is the same, and many other differences.

In some situations, people who are considered bad can change our thinking about them (that is, to judge them for their deeds) through some good deeds, we must recognize that these good deeds are rarer but they can exist.

I can give you an example as eloquent as possible from my own experience (lest you think that I did something bad, no, stay with me and you will find out what it is about below) namely somewhere around the year 2009 -2010 I worked as a foreman at the stone quarry in the commune where I live, in some periods of the year (spring and summer usually) for very hard work, inmates from the prison in Arad county were brought.

This prison had a semi-open regime (so we couldn't meet criminals, pedophiles, or any extremely dangerous people) and under guard they came to us in the commune to put them to work, usually they didn't work more than five hours a day, to I don't forget to tell you, they were paid for the work done.

During the breaks I used to take, I often ended up talking to them, so I could conclude that a fairly small percentage of the inmates wanted to break out of prison and never do bad things again, only good deeds.

I believed a part of them, but there is the other part that no matter what they do, they will not be able to change, those people will definitely do bad things even after they get out of prison.

Being good or being bad is a subjective thing, I don't think we can say about a person who does a good deed that he is a good person or vice versa.

To be considered a bad person you have to have a negative history, in the end I believe that a person can be both good and bad, the proof is his deeds.

Here in Romania, we usually exaggerate the notion of bad or good, if somehow you did a bad deed (it doesn't matter what environment you come from or what family you belong to) or a good deed, you will always be given a label ( like the labels on clothes, hehe) and you'll wear it until you change, I'm talking figuratively.

I haven't written much about good people, these are those people who have a positive history, who over time have done many good deeds, but let's not overlook that the human being is so complex and even these good people can transform in bad people in a few moments.

And good people can fall into sin for various reasons, no one is made of stone.
