The magic of the clock with woodpecker WEEK232

The magic of the clock with woodpecker WEEK232

Hello weekend friends

This weekend's first topic caught my attention because it managed to stir up some of my memories from when I was a child.

The period of my childhood was not an amazing one, here in Romania at that time we were in the communist period, my parents had to stand in line for hours for a loaf of bread or a liter of milk, we ate meat only on Sundays, that's how we spent our lives in the communist period.

We had no access to anything, after 8 o'clock in the evening we were also without electricity, until the evening we had several programs on TV after which everything stopped, we were cut off from the world, such a simple life without access to information.

At that time I hadn't even heard of the internet and I didn't even dream of a computer.

Now that I got to write about my favorite toy since I was a child, I honestly don't even know what to write because I had very few toys and when I played with the same toys, some of them broke and I was left without them.

But wait, I also had a toy that I liked very much (probably because it didn't break), namely a clock with a woodpecker.

After turning those rings on the back of the clock, I was fascinated by that mechanism composed of that tree and the woodpecker that moved every second, tick-tock, tick-tock.

Even today this clock works, the only condition for it to work is precisely the turning of the two rings on the back of the clock, I honestly don't know which of the two rings make it work or how long you have to turn them because I only used the clock as a toy.

In the conclusion of today's post I can say that at that time I was very happy, more fulfilled, I found happiness in things without much importance, I appreciated more what my parents offered me.

When i was younger, i saw this clock at an aunt's house. I always tried to catch the bird when it got out of the clock.
That was long ago. It might be so difficult to find nowadays. Good old days, huh?

I'm glad to see that in other parts of the world there is this kind of clock, and I'm also delighted that I managed to bring back some memories.
Thank you for stopping by.
