And now let's welcome the new year, full of things that have never been before. - Rainer Maria Rilke
Happy New Year everyone!
I hope that the year that has just opened its doors to the unknown brings you all what you wish for and may your dreams come true.
Here in Romania at the moment we have an early spring weather, which is not normal at all, according to the calendar date we should have winter activities and be quite cold, but you see nature is always surprising.
In the early hours of 2023 I decided not to waste time, even though we had a sleepless night, we went to our neighbours and celebrated together the end of 2022 and the beginning of 2023, and to write a post about a tourist attraction in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, a tourist attraction that stuck in my mind, yes, Prague has many beautiful places to discover.
In today's post I want to go together in the old center of Prague and share with you some pictures of the amazing statue of Franz Kafka, the statue is made of stainless steel, it is 10 meters high, but one thing impressed me very much about this statue, every few seconds it rotates, you can see Kafka's face from any position you look at it, just have a little patience for it to rotate, I really found it a very impressive creation.
You can get here either by metro or by tram or taxi/uber, we came here by tram, we got off the tram at a stop that was relatively close to this objective, right next to Kafka's face you will find a pretty big shopping center, shopping lovers as we are especially if we are in a foreign country, we decided to walk this center to see what we can buy.
I was amazed when I found here in Prague shops where you could buy all kinds of drinks even chocolate based on cannabis, we could not refrain from buying something, by the way in Romania cannabis is banned in our country and even more if you are caught with something like that you risk even doing jail, how many contrasts between European cities.
I end this post by urging you to visit Prague, you won't regret it, it has an impressive history, stately buildings built in the old style, good to know if you come here to have some comfortable shoes with you if you want to visit it on foot, most of the pavements are made of cubic stone, so if you come in heels you might find it hard to get around, and getting from one place to another by public transport is very well organised.
You can find more information about this objective info.

Want to have your post on the map too?
What a tremendous image, I remember seeing it in a movie or something and thought it was digital.
This Moving Head was made in 2014, and every few seconds it rotates, however it is very ingenious.
I too found it interesting when I first discovered it on the internet, and being in Prague I wanted to see it in reality.
Simply fascinating. Regards
Thanks for your appreciation.
Happy New Year!

Really awesome shots! That looked particularly difficult to capture in it's full beauty! Great job.
Thank you very much for your appreciation.
This construction every few seconds rotates a little bit, every time it stops you can see Kafka's face, you really have to be patient to catch the perfect moment to see the face very well, if you catch a picture when it rotates you won't see this face clearly.
Happy New Year with your loved ones and many beautiful achievements here in the community.
Great photos! Loved Czech Republic! Definitely a city worth to come back on!
Indeed, this city is magical, and is ready to welcome us back to explore other surprising areas.
Yes, the city is ready for us, we are not the only ones ready for a visit hehehee
