Dinosaur World Transylvania - The amazing world of dinosaurs in the theme park in Tara Hetegului, Romania
Hello dear travellers
Some time ago I had the opportunity to visit an amazing place, a new concept that I have never encountered before in our country.
From what I've heard it's about a successful American who moved to Romania and made his dream come true.
I found out about this place on social networks, there I saw many reviews, many people excited about what they saw, how they were received, what activities they could do there.
Then let's go on a virtual tour there to see if it is worth visiting such a place, if the price of the entrance ticket is acceptable or high, if the service there is good, how and in what way we can spend our time there, if it is worth the effort to travel here.
I have to admit that I love visiting Hateg Country, I have visited so many amazing places in this area.
Dinosaur World Transylvania location
The theme park is located near Sibisel, Rau de Mori commune, Hunedoara county, moreover it is situated at the base of the Retezat mountains.
Here you can get here by car very easily, if you come from Arad county follow the national road 7 after which you will travel a stretch of highway (A1) and at the end of the route you will go on some county and municipal roads some of them a little narrow in my opinion, and finally you will reach your destination.
I can say that the information I found on the website of this location was very helpful.
Welcome to Dinosaur World Transylvania
Once we arrived here we were greeted by a person who guided us where to park the car, we definitely needed this because there were hundreds of cars already parked there and it was hard enough for us to walk around the parking lot to find a free spot.
To my surprise parking was free, we didn't have to pay anything.
With a lot of enthusiasm we headed to the entrance gate to pay the ticket price and thus start exploring the park.
At the entrance to the park there were many people, some curious like me, others were tourists, others came for the show that was scheduled after 5 pm, a folk music show with very famous artists and others came simply to relax.
The entrance ticket to the park cost 30lei/6euro, a good price for what this park has to offer.
The park is organized in areas, an area where there was a restaurant with a very large terrace, I think they could dine at the same time there about 200 people, an area where you could eat some grilled sausages, these sausages are called ,, virsli,, they are the trademark of this area, some areas for relaxation, something amazing, being in a forest, between the trees in the forest are installed hammocks where you can sit for hours to relax.
So slowly we took the dusty road and headed towards the dinosaur areas, this is what this park is famous for, indeed here you can find everything from dinosaur eggs to the largest dinosaurs that have ever existed on earth, also here you can find a lot of information about dinosaur species that are exhibited here.
In the picture below we can see people standing in line to buy those traditional sausages called "virsli".
Panorama seen from above the restaurant.
Everything is built in rustic style, as we can see the stairs to the terrace above the restaurant.
The staff selling those traditional sausages were dressed in traditional local clothes.
Hundreds of children who were in the park at this time ran from one side to the other to pose with the dinosaurs, they could even climb on them, you could see the joy and amazement in children's eyes when they discovered a dinosaur or a dinosaur egg.
I started to show you this area because we visited the park at random, without a guide or other maps, the park has an interactive map that you can plan your visit, we chose the hardest part to try to discover it on our own.
We admired the playgrounds specially created for children, we even played some games in these areas (we couldn't resist the temptation) we became children for a few minutes, some adventurous games of skill, can you imagine if we as adults loved the activities part of the park, but then how did the children find the park.
Here we can see a lot of wood carvings handmade by craftsmen.
What more to say about the tree shaded seating area, outside being quite hot, a relaxation was welcome, access to the hammock area in the forest is via wooden paths and bridges, very rustic, to sit on a swing and watch fish swim in flowing water, fantastic.
After a while of walking through the park I noticed that the area is in a continuous development, the park administrators promise that in the future the area will grow significantly.
But let's continue exploring the park and head to the zipline area, there are two areas with ziplines one for children younger in age and another for adults but with a weight up to 60-70kg, here we stood a little in line because many children and adults were eager for adrenaline.
A zipline ride costs 15lei/3euro.
Another stop was in the area of the restaurant to eat ,,mici,, , a specific Romanian dish, I believe mici are so delicious, if you ever have the opportunity to visit Romania try to eat mici, you will not regret.
I almost forgot to tell you that you can also fly here in a hot air balloon, weather permitting, when we visited the park it was windy and the balloon could not be lifted into the air.
I also tried something sweet, very delicious(15lei/3euro/portion).
Is it worth visiting this park?
Families with children are sure to love this place, for the relaxation areas, adventure, many activities and even the food.
Children can run free, climb, jump and parents can relax.
Don't crowd among the little ones to take a picture with the dinosaurs, this is in the form of a joke, however I think it is worth coming here and I want to congratulate the administrator for their vision and desire to create this park.
Until the next Adventure which I don't know where and when it will be I thank all of you who visit my posts and all of you who support me to be able to take my soul project @triplug further.
