City or Woods, a difficult choice WEEK227

City or Woods, a difficult choice

Hello dear visitors

As I wrote in the title for this weekend I have chosen to write a few lines about the second choice and yes for me it is quite a difficult one because I like both.

I'll start with a vacation in a hotel in the city which in my opinion can be very relaxing, now this may differ from individual to individual, and yes, I have sometimes spent vacations in a hotel.

When you want to have everything at your fingertips, have access to state-of-the-art facilities, don't have to worry about organizational matters, ask for what you want and have it delivered, then a city hotel holiday is ideal.

And yes, when I also felt the need to relax, but without stressing myself out, I chose this option for our comfort, to watch my favorite show in the jacuzzi, read a book while lying in bed or even watch the city from the 45th floor.

Look, when it comes to camping in the woods, this is where the fun starts, and in order to spend quality time and relax at the same time, this is where you need to get pretty involved.

You have to have your homework done because here if you want something you have to be the one in charge of it, so that your stay in the campsite is as relaxing as possible, here in Romania we have a saying, "I give the order and I execute it".

So getting away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, connecting with nature in a wood camp is something I dream of, for a very long time I've been wanting to rent a campervan and escape for a few days to some amazing places in the Romanian forests.

Unfortunately, renting such a house on wheels is quite expensive, and we're not very good at camping, but I'm optimistic that things will change for the better soon, because it's a shame to have so many places just waiting to be explored.

If I had to draw a conclusion, I think I like both options, because each one comes with its own particularities, one gives you security, freedom, and the other gives you independence, connection with nature, relaxation, getting out of your comfort zone.

My dears, if you have made it this far, it means that you have read the lines I have written here and for that I thank you and see you next time.

Hi, the truth is that I'm sticking with the hotel in the city for the comfort and safety issue. Going to the pool, relaxing in the jacuzzi, watching movies on a big tv, being pampered in the spa, is definitely my thing. I also like nature, but I prefer it to be a walk and spend the day, but not camping and spending the night in the woods, I would be a little scared. Greetings.

As I wrote it can be a difficult choice and it depends on each of us, for me personally both are on the same place.
Thank you very much for your comment left here.

Interesting comparison. Like two completely different worlds. I have tried both - stayed in modern skyscraper apartments in bustling metropolises as well as in little wooden remote cottages in mountains and jungles. Being a lifelong nature lover and outdoor enthusiast though, I prefer the latter :)

Sending you my best thoughts!
That was the challenge, now each of us looks at things differently, as you wrote in your comment and I had the chance to experience both options.

Honestly I have managed to establish a balance between these two options, but somewhere deep in my soul I would go for the option of camping in the woods.
I also love nature and all kinds of activities that you can do here, but at certain times when physically or mentally I reach a maximum saturation, then I want comfort.

I am very happy to have you here again and thank you for that.

Have a wonderful Sunday.

I know what you mean and I can relate to a great part of it ;) Oh and thanks for asking in the other comment, we are ok, I have been just so crazy busy IRL... I would love to write at least one update post by the end of this year but I don´t know if I find some time for that :(

I understand you perfectly my friend, look I became a father almost two weeks ago, and yes, I am living something amazing, these days even if I sleep very little have been special.

This is also the reason why I decided to make a change in my life, even if it will be difficult, namely here in Romania one of the parents can stay at home for 2 years to take care of their child, look, I am crazy enough that I quit my job and decided that I should be the one to stay at home for two years.

Don't get me wrong, I don't send my wife to work and stay at home (like a lazy person), she is on sick leave at least until the end of the year, also for childcare.

Here, in Romania, state support for family support is a mockery, but even so, I gave up my monthly income from work to spend the first months with my child, to see him grow up.

And that's how I hope to have a quiet family life, to be active here online (my second family) and to think about the future, you know if I want to travel for I don't know how many months I still need money, so I will have enough time to think about it.

By the way, I'm looking forward to your updates, I haven't read anything from you for a while 😊

What?! You are now a father too?! Man, I had no idea! Congratulations! I know that you are of a very similar age like me and becoming a parent at such (not so young) age is not easy at all but it´s still one of the most amazing things that can happen in life and I really hope and wish that you will enjoy all those days, weeks, months and years to come as much as possible. I remember those first days after the birth like it was yesterday but in fact, our daughter will celebrate her first birthday in a few weeks. Incredible. You probably just opened the most beautiful as well as challenging chapter of your life and wish you, your wife and your son all the best :) Btw have you mentioned this great news in any of your posts here on Hive and I missed it or you haven´t written about it yet?

I start by wishing your daughter happy birthday and may she grow up wonderfully, even if the birthday is in a few weeks, and yes, the experience of being a parent has opened the door to a new world, a world we have not explored before, we are at the beginning of the journey and we are looking forward to it.
I didn't write too much on Hive about becoming a father, I wrote in a couple comments, I think.
Anyway, I'd like to write an anniversary post because the other day I turned three years old here in Hive and probably here I'll write in more detail about my experience in these three years in Hive and also a bit about life in the real world.
Thank you for joining me here in Hive for so long.

Both have benefits and drawbacks, choosing one is indeed a tough call. My instincts tell me to go camping, but not having real-life experience makes me think to go easy, book a room, and enjoy!

See that's why we are different, I personally find it hard to choose only one of these two options, that's why I tried in my post to put these two options in balance.
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful Sunday.

I like your conclusion. I can't leave the city because of all the facilities, but I also love the forest for all my inspiration and to leave the tiredness of the city itself with all the boredom that exists @triplug

I'm very glad that you liked the conclusion of this post and yes, I managed to balance (in equality) these two options.
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful Sunday.
