My teenage crush. | | creativenonfiction

We have all had one or two crushes as a teenager. I always fantasize about my mathematics teachers in high school. He wasn't a tall person because those are the qualities I look for in a man, but he wasn't, I think then I hadn't made my speculations right. I don't know why I had always thought of him, I can't say but I was always eager for his class, this made me always go through my notes and textbook to do some reading every single day. Well it was a fantasy that was helping me study.
Whenever he came to came, I am always the first person he do calls for to clean the black board, because even though we had a marker board, he still preferred to use the blackboard according to him, he helped him and us the student see clearly as his subject was mathematics and the marker always faded out so easily.
He was someone who would call me to give me some exercise to do, not the whole class and some other time he would call me to go to a particular class to teach some junior students and he would sit among them and listen, he was a good teacher really, but I was busy having a big crush, at one point when I got to senior secondary school, I always thought he would ask me out, but I knew he wasn't that kind of teacher. At one time I was pissed at him for not noticing me, but then it was wrong and so I went back to being the good student I was. Like it wasn't always easy being in the same space as him, has I had a lot of thought running through my head.
Then the time came for him to leave, he was going back to University I felt very sad, before he left, he had called me to the staff room, he said "ossom, don't relent on your studies you can see you are doing well and I am proud of you, just continue being brilliant, I will be coming once in a while to check on you guys" , when I left the staff room that day I cried because ii wouldn't be seeing him anymore.
Well I did forget about him, because he never visited our school anymore, I layer got to know that he was given a scholarship to study in the UK. He's married now with kids🥺.
He was my crush for about 2 years.( My mathematics teacher in secondary school)
Thanks for reading

Lolz
Well, perhaps he didn't return the crush but he valued you since he sent you on errands most often as compared to other students.
Thank you for sharing
Yeah and maybe he thought he was more older than me, and it was a educational setting that's why he respected his boundary.
Well, good he actually did. Perhaps it was preventive for some youthful exuberance 😂
Yeah that true.
Credits to you for owning up to the crush that you had for your teacher. The fact that your teacher maintained his character and respected you for your abilities only, is commendable.
Thanks for sharing your story with this week's prompt, and we encourage you to check the stories of other authors and be sure to check our recent publications pinned in the community.
Have a lovely day:)
Thank you very much for stopping here.
He sure didn't want to act on it and stayed in his boundary.
I also try my best to engage in other authors post.
Hi @treasuree, with us you have unveiled your high school crush. I'm glad that your teacher was a gentleman and professional to the letter. He generated positive effects on you, your love for studies and in a special way you found love for mathematics. I enjoyed your fresh and jovial story.
Until another time.
Happy week.
Thank you very much for reading this. I appreciate your nice comment.
And I was shouting "awwwwwn awwwwwn" while reading this.
It always amaze me whenever I hear that ladies crush too. So bad, they can crush but can't make major moves towards it, aside the greenlight.
I wish it's possible for your mathematics teacher to come across this 🤣.
Nice article mah
Wow! Really nice article, not all ladies have the courage to own up to their crush. You're really brave.
