My Dearest Cousin Blessing,

My wish is that you are in the angelic world, enveloped in love and tranquillity when you receive this letter. Just a few months ago you left us in this world due to the kidney failure you had, we had thought that you would get better with all the treatment you had been getting, but no, death decided to take you away in the early hours of the 20th of May 2023, I still think of you often, remembering the laughter we shared when we were much younger and the times we cherished together, the times we spent chatting on Facebook and WhatsApp, It is with a heavy heart that I write this letter to you, expressing my sadness and sorrow at the loss of a beloved family member, you know you are more like my blood younger sister and I keep thinking things would have been different if your mom didn't relocate to the village.

I still remember the plans we had for you and Abigail to come back to Lagos, but because of the financial constraints we had we couldn't make that possible until you left us. This I deeply regret and it has left a deep mark of regret in my heart, but I promise you I will try my best to make Abigail come to Lagos and have her attend tertiary institution at all costs.
I deeply regret the moments we missed out on, the times we couldn't spend together due to your illness. The kidney failure that took you away from us was a battle you fought valiantly, but the outcome was not what we had hoped for. Life without you feels incomplete, as we can no longer share the memories or make new ones. Whenever I call your mom "mommy blessing" there is this pain I feel that reminds me there is no blessing anymore. My sisters and I, especially Jessica, deeply feel your absence. Jessica had a dream about you and while she was narrating the dream to me, she burst out crying and I could feel her pain when I joined her.
Your absence has left a big dark spot in our hearts, one that can never be filled. We long for the sound of your voice, the warmth of your embrace, and the infectious joy you brought to our lives. Your infectious laughter and lighthearted spirit were truly a treasure, and I am deeply saddened that I will not be able to experience that joy ever again.
You are no longer among us, yet your memory endures. I'm still motivated by the stories of your generosity and steadfast assistance. The evidence of your courage and endurance in the face of difficulty is your legacy. You were always willing to give a helping hand to those around you, many people talked really good about you, and it is that benefit your mom and siblings are enjoying now.

Though the pain of your absence is unbearable at times, I still find a sense of peace in knowing that you were loved by so many. Your family, friends, and loved ones remember you fondly. I heard on the day you were buried, the whole village went to give you final welfare and this gladdens my heart even though we weren't able to go because of the distances, your presence is still felt in our lives. We cherish the memories we created together and hold onto the hope that one day, we will be reunited in the afterlife.

I will treasure our time spent together, our laughs, and the love we experienced till then. Even though I might not be able to see you in person, I know that you will always have a particular place in my heart. I hope you find peace in your final moments and know that your memory is a priceless gift that will always be remembered.
