Vivid Sydney + why MIA for nearly a week

Hi Everyone,

Vivid Sydney is one of the most anticipated events each year as it is a family event to enjoy the city light up in Sydney. This year, we were able to catch some of the action on Thursday (yes a weeknight) to avoid the weekend crowd which is forecasted to be at its peak yesterday as it was the last day of the event. It was also the drone event which makes the city so crowded just like for the New Years Eve fireworks.

The weather wasn't too cold this year so we were able to enjoy the lights at a less painful way and we were able to get around very quickly with not many people out. Of course there were lots of people for a weeknight but it wasn't bumper to bumper crowds. Going home via public transport was a breeze which made the whole exeperience a lot easier. We didn't get to walk to Darling Harbour as BB E was not able to walk too far due to his injury last week.

I have been MIA from here due to a small accident he had at school. He fell down the stairs and fractured his ankle area which we needed to get him a camboot to ensure that it can heal properly. The fracture wasn't too bad but it was swelling quite a lot after 24hrs which is when we decided to go to the hospital thinking it was only a sprained ankle. He will need to sit out of any sporting events for the next few weeks and definately no running or jumping around. It's been a hurdle trying to get him to and from school and also cancelling all his activities and team sport to ensure he gets all the time to recover. So far, he is recovering fine, fingers crossed it heals neatly so there will no further damage for the future.
