Food Sharing #291 - The Bayview Hotel @ Woy Woy, Australia
Hi Everyone,
We haven’t been away from Sydney for a while and this weekend, we were able to have a short getaway at Woy Woy which is around 90 minutes drive from Sydney. Woy Woy is not a big town so trying to find something decent to eat needs some searching. We found The Bayview Hotel right in the city center as they have done some renovations. I booked a table to have dinner and luckily we booked, the place was packed! It was like a local club but at the same time, you can get some really nice decent food judging by the number of people there.
There were plenty of choices in terms of food. We ordered a gluten-free special pepperoni pizza, a steak, kids' burger and a seafood platter for two. Glad we beat the crowd and ordered the food so we got it pretty quickly. I guess people were happy drinking and catching up with friends while we want to finish dinner a little earlier so the kids can go back to the holiday house and have some fun.
Food came quickly the servings were pretty big. Kids' burger was like a regular-sized adult burger so we ended up taking away half of it. The steak was nicely cooked as well as the pizza. Nothing to complain about there. The seafood platter was bigger than expected with lots of variety. Oysters, smoked salmon, king prawns, and so on. We shared all the food with our friends and were surprised by the quality. Pricing wise, it wasn’t too bad considering we did get a lot of food for the price we paid. We took away two boxes of food which came in handy for supper that night.
Not much service here as we had to order and pay for our meals at the front. It was pretty much self-service though the food was served to our table. You definitely need to book ahead of time especially for the weekends as it is a popular spot for big groups and families. Great find for us!

That steak looks hella delish with the mashed potato. I probably skip the seafood since I am allergic to it. Nice photos!

It has been a while since I got out with my family, I missed dining out and eating the food that you've shown us here. It is a good thing that next year I will be relocating to a city nearby, therefore, giving me the opportunity to dine-out with my family once again.
The interior looks so good and same with the food! It's leaves me salivating really
