symmetry-001.jpg

The concept of symmetry plays a fundamental rol in the idea of beauty the we have in the western culture. For this reason we seek for symmetric patterns in our personal life, in art, architecture, etc.
This photo shows an architectural detail of the Santiago (Chile) Airport. It is an exterior wall of the parking lot, the wall is covered by different types of plants arranged in geometrical and symmetric patterns, which is very decorative.

  • No Honorable Mention today, looking forward for more participation.

Thanks so much to everyone who supports the contest by participating, delegating, upvoting and re-blogging! All the best and good luck in all your endeavors!

Hi @travelcontest

Here is my contribution to the contest

The picture shows Sanssouci Palace surrounded by lush greenery. This palace in the town of Potsdam, near Berlin, was the summer residence of Prussian Emperor Frederick II the Great.

Here is my entry:
https://hive.blog/hive-153349/@nenio/schoenbrunn-gloriette-architecture-and-nature-glorieta-de-schoenbrunn-arquitectura-y-naturaleza-en-es

The Schönbrunn Palace was the summer residence of the Habsburg emperors of the Austrian-Hungarian Empire. Its gardens are magnificent, and they are among my favorite places of Vienna. A very important architectural element of the gardens is the Gloriette.
In the photo that I share a show a detail of the the Gloriette (you can see the imperial symbols on the roof) and its view is surrounded with the trees in early autumn. It was captured from one of the small paths that leads to the top of the hill where the glorieta is located.
