Humility and the teachings of christ
The teachings of Jesus Christ emphasize the importance of humility. In the New Testament, Jesus himself demonstrated humility by becoming a servant and willingly dying on the cross for the sake of others. He also taught his disciples to be humble, saying, "For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted" (Matthew 23:12).
In Philippians 2:3-8, the Apostle Paul writes about the humility of Christ, saying, "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death—even death on a cross!"
These passages teach that humility involves putting the needs and well-being of others ahead of our own, and it is through humility that we can find true peace and unity.
