Powering Up Some Cents

I have known $CENT token as a freebie token that has been showing in my Hive Engine wallet for quite some time already. For the usage and other stuff, I never pay close attention to it, since its value itself is not that significant compared to the others.

Upon interacting with @arlenec2021 via #tagalogtrail community, I learn that I am getting some free cent tokens in the background as well. I do get some tokens from curation before the previous months but that isn't as noticeable as before.

I also saw Revisedsociology and ironshield powered up their Cent token last month so this made me more curious about what this is all about.

As per ironshield's post

CENT is unique among the tokens since it was intended to be valued (not pegged) at $0.01 per token

Given that the price is quite low this time, hoarding some tokens and powering up some more will be nice . Hence I decided to swap some Hive that I have and then power up the 1560 CENT that I have accumulated afterward.

My plan in the meantime is to get more while I can power up each Cent Power UP day and see what will happen next. Holding some coins with spare changes would not hurt one's pocket and it is a good way to support the community behind it too.

Let's see what will happen next for this token as they plan to become more active and integrate themselves in the other community who knows maybe afterward I can use this token as an additional reward for the Tagalogtrail community in the future as I only use Ecency points and liquid Hive on the rewards.
