Instagram-Worthy, Taste-Bland: My Visit to Coffee Project
I have known the Coffee Project shops before the pandemic but never had one of their coffees. Their branches are usually inside malls and as someone who rarely goes outside, I haven't had a chance to visit the said place. My go-to place to get some coffee is Starbucks ( this is me being single nowadays I can't afford to have one even if I want to haha).
So going back to when we decided to meet with @romeskie last May for a small catch-up CBTL is where we agreed to go as it is near to where we stayed when we went to Taguig and also somewhat near to Rome's house.
As someone who drinks two or three cups of coffee daily, I always go for a stronger blend. I ordered one hot caramel latte and added an extra espresso shot, and I just got her some chocolate frappe for April. The place is oozing with the fresh smell of grounded coffee, which you will look forward to each time you enter a coffee shop.
Rome will be late as there's a slight traffic jam in her place. It was Sunday, and churchgoers tended to go outside during the said time.
One thing that caught my attention is how curated the shop is. Compared to the regular cafe we visited, I can say that the place is truly Instagram-worthy. There's a lot of things going on and the vibe and background sounds are in sync. The jazz music played is soothing and want you to forget the caffeine that you will intake for the next minute or so.
At first I thought that the books are just for display and have some blank pages, but when Aya asked to have one we were surprised that these books are actually real though I am not sure if we are allowed to use and read them after checking it we all agreed to have it returned immediately.
I was given a small buzzer that would alert me when our orders were picked up already by the time it became active. Rome and Aya are there waiting for their orders too.
April and Rome had a small chitchat about cats and mothering stuff. They are besties btw even though I am the one who introduced Rome to April 😒.
Anyhow, the taste of my coffee was bland - the strong acidity of the coffee that I was expecting wasn't there though I could taste some of the milk and coffee I felt that it was not worth it that time. I just picked the small one btw to have a stronger taste but apparently, it lacked something. The frappe is good and the bread as well.
Overall this proved to me that Coffee Project is just for aesthetic stuff, but for taste, they need to upgrade it ( for me) .
Will we come back?
If for the coffee no but for the snacks and the place itself, we will.
Edited I wrote CBTL at first as I was thinking CBTL then I just realized that it is coffee project as stated by C haha.
Medyo na-confuse ako TP if you're talking about CBTL or Coffee Project? 😅 I haven't tried Coffee Project, all I know is kila Villar yan 😄
My go-to is Starbucks din but the past few months I've been checking out local and other coffee shops. It's fun to discover different cafes din kasi.

The place looks really instagrammable, people pa naman nowadays gave importance too to the place especially those who love to share their daily lives on socmed. Maganda yung lugar ha, love the vibe too, pero sana if they will improve the place, they should improve the foods they serves too. Dapat sinabi mo sa kanila para ano, charot ahahahaha. Mukhang super yummy nong bread, curious ako sa price, uwu
What branch is this? 😆 I love Coffee Project because of aesthetics haha. I'm not a coffee lover, I just go there for there pastry and the vibe.
Sa Taguig ito Ji, dun sa may Grace Residences.
May Coffee Project din dito sa amin, but hindi ko pa na-visit. Maybe soon hehe. Lalo yung partner ko, he loves coffee too.
