Review of my Splinterlands January Purchases

Introduction

Hello everyone! In today's post, I'll take a look at how my biggest January purchases did so far.

1 - Grandmaster Rathe

Grandmaster Rathe is my favorite Chaos Legion Legendary Summoner with interesting and synergizing abilities: +1 Armor, Void armor, and Amplify.

I was monitoring the price of this Legendary summoner closely and decided to buy a Gold league copy for 82$, which means that the price per BCX was 13,66$. It was the last combined copy, and the rest of the single BCXs was in the 18-20$ range. I could've bought him sooner, especially while in the 11$ range per BCX, but overall I'm extremely happy with the purchase.

Prices as of writing this post are at 19,44$ per BCX with no combined copies that would offer any discounts for buying multiples. That means that level 3 Grandmaster Rathe would cost 118,42$ right now.

2 - Adelade Brightwing

To play Grandmaster Rathe effectively I've decided to add Adelade Brightwing - the trusted partner in Life's sustain composition to my collection.

I've purchased a level 3 copy for Gold league play for 26,46$ which means that the per-BCX price was 4,41$. Looking at it today, she is currently on the market at the price of 7,493$ per BCX, with some cheaper leveled copies. A Gold league level 3 copy would cost 43,47$ as of right now.

3 - Lyanna Natura

While looking at the cheapest Summoners, Lyanna Natura caught my attention.

There was a level 6 copy with 35 BCX selling for 38$ - that's 1,085$ per BCX. That immediately caught my attention and I decided to buy her since I don't have any other Earth summoners. It's worth noting that she's a Beta card that provides an RP bonus, with a lower supply but a pretty weak ability.

At the time of writing this post level 6 Lyanna Natura with 38 BCX (3 more than needed) is selling for 74,189$ - 1,95$ per BCX.

Conclusion

Looking back at it now, all of the mentioned purchases look like a good deal currently. They were purchased for 146,46$ with a current value of 236,08$. That's an increase of 62% in just a few weeks.
