More tired than normal...
Not being able to train as much as I would like is not sitting well with me. For years I have maintained an almost monastic rigor with respect to my routine and training plan...
Lately, as I approach 50, I see how time slips through my fingers while responsibilities pile up on my back...
And you know what? I had always had a crazy desire to climb higher and reach higher and higher professional levels...but for a few years I no longer see it possible to continue growing...on the contrary, I would like to "decrease" while maintaining my salary (LOL) .
My job no longer excites me as it did, although I continue working on a project that would cause the envy of many of my university colleagues...I have to admit that my mentality and objectives have changed as the years go by...honestly, I wouldn't mind retiring in a few years if the company proposed it to me, regardless of the fact that I still enjoy my job but...in a different way.
I value much more being able to have more time for myself and my family and dedicate less time of my life to third parties.
Getting back to today's training...
Today was a summer day...we touched 25 degrees at noon and that was noticeable in my progression run.
It has been 7km in 34 minutes, starting slow and finishing strong and fast... although my heart was jumping out of my chest at the end... and the fact is that, although my legs ask me to go fast, my heart is not "in tune" as it used to be and the heat out there doesn't help either.
In any case, the important thing is to have found the time to do the training and to have enjoyed it...even if it was short.
Keep on running!

Wow, 😲 these pictures are amazing
Great run! I think it's part of evolution, our priorities changed and things that used to really matter to us, lose their effect on moving us to become better.
