A pesar de esto nuevamente salió la calidad colectiva de los de Denver, su juego arrollador y la solidez del equipo y pese a las dos derrotas sufridas siempre tuvieron el control de un play off en el que vencieron por cuatro juegos a dos.

Cuando usted analiza la manera en la que los Nuggets despacharon a los de Phoenix, en un equipo que entre otros tenía a Chris Paul, Kevin Duran y Deandre Ayton se da cuenta que es muy difícil vencer a este equipo.
