A particular design

Hello to all the members of this community. Once again, it is a pleasure to greet you and, today, I want to share with you a wonderful experience that I enjoyed very much. Without further ado, here is the post.

A few days ago I was in Varadero for my wife's birthday and unlike other times we have been there, this time we decided to leave the hotel and go to see the beauties of this tourist enclave in Cuba, considered one of the best sun and beach destinations in the world.

And, to tell the truth, we were very grateful because we visited many places that made our stay more comprehensive and much better.

Among those places we visited the famous 42nd Street which is where the Varadero Boulevard is located because there are several places that are very popular with tourists who visit the place.

Of all those places, I will tell you today about one that caught my attention: Varadero's Casa del Café.

The Coffee House in Varadero

If you look at the outside of this place you will notice that it is a normal facility, its architecture has nothing unique and has no combination of architectural styles.

If you are looking for a space that will dazzle you architecturally, this is not the place. But if you manage to get inside and see the interior, it is impossible not to be hooked by the particular design that it has and that, at least my wife and I, did not completely fall in love with it.

Seven elements that I liked in the design of this place

• The whole design is made with elements that have to do with coffee.
• The figure at the entrance door with a coffee pot and a simulacrum of coffee falling and drawn with coffee beans.
• The arrangement of the shelves and the products sold on the site are in tune with this place in a particular way.
• The culture of detail. Here there is no element that is by taste or at random.
• The interior contrast between space, color, lighting and everything on the site is in sight.
• The way in which the history of coffee is explained, its emergence, production, commercialization and main producing and distributing countries.
• The visualization of Cuba's coffee industry through a map with coffee beans. This, as well as the previous element, was one of the elements that caught my attention the most.

A final comment

Many times we only look at lavish places or those that architecturally have a singular importance, because it is true that the ingenuity of their creators can be seen in the construction and design of their parts.

However, there are other places that from the point of view of design catch us and many times they are singular details, the interior details, the communication with the objects of the house without the need of guides or words or the care of all its details. Many times the greatest and most beautiful things are in how simple they are.

Una introducción necesaria

Hola a todos los miembros de esta comunidad. Nuevamente, es un placer saludarles y, hoy, quiero compartir con ustedes una experiencia maravillosa que me gustó mucho. Sin más, aquí les dejo la publicación.

Hace algunos días estuve en Varadero, en el cumpleaños de mi esposa y a diferencia de otras veces que hemos estado allí, ahora sí decidimos salir del hotel e ir a conocer las bellezas que tiene este enclave turístico de Cuba, considerado uno de los mejores destinos de sol y playa del mundo.

Y, en honor a la verdad, lo agradecimos muchos porque visitamos numerosos sitios que hicieron nuestra estancia más abarcadora y mucho mejor.

Dentro de esos lugares visitamos la famosa Calle 42 que es donde está el Bulevar de Varadero porque en él están varios espacios que son muy concurridos por los turistas que visitan el lugar.

De todos esos sitios, les hablaré hoy de uno que me llamó poderosamente la atención: La Casa del Café de Varadero.

Si usted mira el exterior de este sitio se podrá percatar que es una instalación normal, su arquitectura no tiene nada de singular ni tiene combinación de estilos arquitectónicos.

Si usted anda buscando un espacio que arquitectónicamente lo deslumbre, este no es el lugar. Pero si logra entrar y ve su interior, es imposible que no quede enganchado con el diseño particular que tiene y que, al menos a mi esposa y a mí, no dejó completamente enamorados del mismo.

Siete elementos que me gustaron en el diseño de este lugar

•Todo el diseño está hecho con elementos que tienen que ver con el café.
•La figura que está en la puerta de entrada con una cafetera y un simulacro de café cayendo y dibujado con granos de esta bebida.
•La disposición de los estantes y los productos que se comercializan en el sitio entonan con este sitio de una manera particular.
•La cultura del detalle. Aquí no hay ningún elemento que esté por gusto o al azar.
•El contraste interior entre espacio, color, iluminación y todo lo que en el sitio está a la vista
•La manera en que está explicada la historia del café, su surgimiento, producción, comercialización y principales países productores y distribuidores.
•La visualización cafetalera de Cuba hecha a través de un mapa con granos de café. Tanto este, como el elemento anterior, fueron de los elementos que más llamaron mi atención

Un comentario final

Muchas veces nos fijamos solamente en lugares fastuosos o que arquitectónicamente tienen una importancia singular, porque es verdad que en la construcción y en el diseño de sus partes se ve el ingenio de sus creadores.

Sin embargo, hay otros sitios que desde el punto de vista del diseño nos atrapan y muchas veces son detalles singulares, los detalles interiores, la comunicación con los objetos de la casa sin necesidad de guías o palabras o el cuidado de todos sus detalles. Muchas veces las cosas más grandes y hermosas están en lo sencillas que son.

Lo anterior y más está presente en la Casa del Café de Varadero.
