Daniel Luke in Murut traditional costume
Portrait of Daniel Luke in Murut traditional dress The jacket was being made from tree bark, specifically from Artocarpus tamaran. While the head gear is decorated with Argus pheasant feathers that are tied up with red clothes and small wild boar tusks. The back is also made from rattan and decorated with deer antlers. You can see another wild boar's tusks on his shoulder.
In these photos, Daniel is ready with a fighting pose to attack anyone who tries to fight with him. The "parang" is a need for every man in the tribe to protect their family and, at the same time, find food inside the jungle.
