I actually watch this Chang can dunk movie laughing because it is full of lessons and should I say some kind of motivational spirit, I was actually bored after I came back from church and I decided to login into netflix and I saw the movie, I actually didn't think it will be interesting though since it is one of the high school movie but it was way more interesting and according to the overview
A young Asian-American teen and basketball fanatic who just wants to dunk and get the girl ends up learning much more about himself, his best friends, and his mother.
The story based on a teen who wasn't recognise and literally lonely with only one friend but he has this dream of dunking (basketball) one day but never work towards it because he is scared of people opinion, so he kept the goal a low key one until Kristy came to his school and join the band. Matt who was the popular guy in the school and the leading basketball player have eye on the girl too and chang had to do something, he was bullied at some point and Matt challenge him he can never dunk and they bet on it. At some point, I thought it was a stupide idea but no it actually push him and boost his lowkey goal to dunk, his plans at the moment wasn't to only dunk but also win kristy heart.
Like they use to say, if you want to learn from experience, you will surely need a mentor, he went through lot of youtube videos just to learn how to dunk but his height was the major problem, he and his friend Bo tried every method which didnt really work because he still couldn't reach that dunking level and he came across deandre video on youtube and decided to reach out to him, their meeting was actually a funny one but both decided to help each other out, I always love the zeal chang put into the training, he was really determine going through all the process for 10 weeks and he finally dunk (as we thought), everyone was happy for him, he won the bet and get to shave Matt hair and also have kristy but that wasn't all, the fame and popularity really get into him at some point that he fucked up big time, bo and kristy had to leave him and also a video came up that he cheated and can't dunk.

That was when his problem started, Matt re-challenge him but he reject and had to make a confession video and also shave his hair but he didn't allow that to weigh him down, instead he give it a second try, learn the basic of basketball, push in more effort and finally he dunk while playing for his school team. It was really an interesting/motivating movie to watch.
