Wow! What a great family. I was so engrossed throughout the course of reading this post. I'm happy and elated how you were able to stand by dad side. I can relate with what you said about having people who are about 90 to 100 years still able to do things themselves. I can say that what we eat these days might cause some of the sickness and diseases we have now. Another thing I notice about elderly people is that if you take them out of their comfort zone, they tend to react negatively. This happened when we brought my grandma from the village to start living with us after her husband died. She didn't live more than a year with us before she died, and she was active before we brought her to the city.

That's the reason I don't force them to come and stay with me in the city, because the environment they are in is much better, green all around.

That is good. You can visit them from time to time during the holiday since no one can tell when it would be the last time.
