Embracing Life’s Unanswered Questions

Life is full of ups and downs. There are times when we feel like giving up due to the happenings around us. There are times we feel like we should stop existing. There are moments when we are filled with the urge to commit the unthinkable. Sometimes, it feels as if we should abandon everything and stop trying altogether.

One thing I understand about life is the supernatural nature of God. Some things happen that we shouldn’t have answers to. Some events occur without any apparent cause. One of the things that showcase God's supernatural power is the fact that we can not see our future or predict what will happen to us tomorrow. Even if we feel certain, death, the ultimate end, can arrive unexpectedly, and there is nothing we can do to prevent it. Once it comes knocking at our door, we have no choice but to surrender.

There are ways in which we, as humans, can witness the manifestation of God's power, even atheists who do not believe in God. How can we explain a scenario where someone who appeared perfectly healthy suddenly passes away in their sleep? Or consider a situation where two friends start a business with the same amount of capital and good customer relationships, yet one succeeds far more than the other.

There are many things happening in this world that we can not explain. Some are beyond human imagination. If we understand that life is short, why do we take everything so seriously as if we will carry it all to the grave?

Yesterday, a friend of mine called me to discuss the way our leaders, particularly the president, are behaving. He spoke about how we are being plagued with unnecessary taxes. I told my friend that paying taxes is important for national development, and I even referenced developed nations that do the same. However, despite the taxes that have been deducted over time, we have seen no significant improvements. The removal of fuel subsidies and the numerous transaction charges have not resulted in better infrastructure, there is still no pipe-borne water for drinking, and stable electricity remains a dream.

His response was that we do not have good leaders in this part of the world. What we have are thieves in political clothing, with nothing to show for their leadership. They are there only to satisfy their selfish interests, not to bring meaningful change or development.

Life is short. Do not over think. You cannot enjoy and live the so called "Present" if we are being occupied by uncertainties, fears, and worries. Let us just enjoy live and enjoy life.
