Strolling Around Antipolo City During Super Typhoon Enteng (Yagi)

Wednesday Walk Thumb 87.jpg

Two days ago September 02, 2024, when Typhoon Enteng with the international name "Yagi" hit the whole of Luzon including the whole province of Rizal. Day and night poured heavy rain that's why some of the major roads in Antipolo City flooded. In the afternoon that day the heavy rains stopped a little bit that's why I decided to go outside to see what I could find. I started to walk along the General Luna Street exit to PLDT Circumferential Road corner General Luna Street and headed back to the General Luna Street exit to J.Sumulong Street, Antipolo City.

This road is located on General Luna Street beside Juan Sumulong Elementary School there were no classes that day because the LGU suspended all classes at all levels.

I like the calmness of this road. No vehicles or people are passing through because the road is closed because there was a flood in the morning.

Because of the bad weather and typhoons, this driving school is closed.

While walking along J.Sumulong Street I expected the current of the water on the bridge at the front of Cristimar Village is super strong and I was right the current of the water is so strong.

While walking back home I just stopped a little bit to capture this road because every day there's a traffic jam in that corner of the road. But that day that road is no traffic and few vehicles passed through the road.

I got a goosebump when I saw a super strong current of the water under the bridge down to the falls. It scared me because the flow of the water is so strong and if someone accidentally falls to that river creek they so easy to drift and fall to the cliff.

I hope nothing serious happened for those households that live down the river creek because seriously the water is scary.

I remember when I was a kid we used to visit the Kiwanis Community Library to read some books. But now the Kiwanis Library has been closed to the public for so many years.
