Reunion With High School Friends and Meet My Bestfriend!

Going back to my hometown means going back to see my two adorable nephews. I love them as much as they love me. Although the intensity of our meeting is rare due to the distance, every 3 to 4 months my mum and I go home and release our homesickness with them.

Apart from gathering with my family, I also sometimes have an agenda to meet up with my friends. Instead of just meeting personally, sometimes there were group gatherings during high school.

Like when I went home some time ago. One of my friends named Umi told me to join a group activity and meet many other friends. Although I sometimes forgot names or faces because I had never been in the same class, I was confident that I could adapt well.

After saying yes, I was told that the dresscode for the event was a black shirt with a blue hijab. Yes, our school is a religious-based private school, so all female students wear hijab.

I set off from home to the location by motorbike. It took about 30 minutes to reach the designated location. A grave of a noble person located in the Doro sub-district of Pekalongan district.

After arriving at the destination and performing prayers, I looked for a shady spot by the river to eat together. We brought a lot of provisions such as rice as well as a vegetable called Bothok typical of Pekalongan.

At first, I ate rice with a side dish of Pekalongan-style megoono vegetables and stir-fried tempeh, as well as a delicious-looking omelette. There was also fruit available, complete with chilli sambal as dipping. The lush place, the fresh air and the sound of rustling water made us eat in peace while exchanging greetings because some of us rarely joined the fibre, like me for example.

I was very happy to be welcomed even though some of them might have forgotten who I was. I was also very happy to reunite with my roommate from the dormitory, and my classmate from two years at school. Her name is Ira. She was a really nice person. Even now, even though we have our own lives and busy schedules, she's still a kind and friendly person.
I want to always consider her my best friend. She hardly ever gets angry with me, in fact, she's so patient, I feel like she has a very long gut (idiom for a patient person). LoL.

So, as it got later in the afternoon, I said goodbye first because I was going home in a different direction from the others. I was indeed from an area that was quite far from them.

After praying, gathering, eating, and taking photos together, I said goodbye to all of them and promised to join again if there was an event when I returned home.
