I am back to you Splinterlands community. I am trying again this week, hoping to get everything right to be considered in the contest. Being first timers, you learn from your mistakes!

In this challenge we will focus on the RuleSet MELEE MAYHEM:

With this rule, all monsters with physical attacks will be able to attack from whatever position they placed. It will therefore be useful and advantageous to use skills that can counter melee attacks, such as Thorns and Demoralize.

In the challenge that I considered

the additional limitations are:

• Up Close and Personal which forces both participants to use only monsters with Melee attack;
• Healed Out which completely cancels all cures.

LINEUP

It was my intention to use a devastating card such as Quora (despite the fact that I still have her at level 1) in order to take advantage of her dual attack (Magical and Melee), despite the fact that I could not play the 2 cards with Ranged attack and Martyr skill that I usually use to buff her (Fungus Flinger and Venari Marksrat) . Along with her, I decided to passively damage my opponent's monsters with the Thorns ability and reduce their attack with the Demoralize ability. I therefore preferred Helios Matriarch to Lobb Lowland because it gave me +1 in speed, but more importantly it allowed me to use 2 elements in my team.

I chose DJINN CHWALA as Tank to take advantage of his Thorns ability.

MYCELIC INFANTRY, despite being a very slow card, I decided to deploy it because of its Shield ability and reduce the attacks it received from opposing monsters by 50 percent. This way it could survive longer and take advantage of its high damage.

DISINTEGRATOR DISINTEGRATOR adds an additional Debuff to the entire opposing team: -1 to the Melee attack of the ENTIRE opposing team. Considering that only Melee monsters can be used in this challenge, it becomes an essential card.

QUORA TOWERSHEAD, as mentioned earlier, I decided to use her to take advantage of the double attack since melee monsters can attack from any position. I won't be able to take full advantage of her potential because cures are not allowed in this challenge, but the Bloodlust skill could still prove decisive.

LICHEN BEAST may seem an odd card in this team. Honestly, it was the last card I chose and so I tried to make use of all the mana available to me. My choice also fell on this card because of the Enrage ability, hoping it would not receive too much damage for me to use.

VENARI KNIFER as the team's last card to take advantage of the Thorns ability again.

MATCH

My opponent decided to focus mainly on speed and damage by deploying 2 monsters with Double Strike, an ability that allows 2 consecutive attacks. My monsters will suffer -1 to their attack because my opponent has also decided to deploy Disintegrator. I will also have -1 in speed due to Quix the Devious.

ROUND 2

At the beginning of Round 2 I unfortunately already lost my Tank, but he did his job: weakening the opponent's monsters with his ability, which also activates when the opponent's attack hits the armor. Quora hasn't activated yet, but I'm staying in the game for now.

ROUND 3

I also start the third round at a numerical disadvantage, but this is the turning point: many attacks will be nullified by Mycelic Infantry and my team can continue to do damage.

ROUND 4

Turn 4 opens with important pleasant news: Quora has finally activated and will now do 5 damage with her 2 attacks. Mycelic Infantry still holds out and Disintegrator is also still on the team.

ROUND 5

Quora becomes unstoppable and my opponent's damage is reduced to the Runi attack alone. The game turns to my advantage and victory is virtually certain.

ROUND 6

Quora is getting stronger and stronger but by now there is nothing more to be done. Victory is guaranteed.

VERSIONE ITALIANA

Rieccomi a voi comunità di Splinterlands. Anche questa settimana ci riprovo, nella speranza di riuscire a fare tutto correttamente per essere considerato nel contest. Essendo alle prime volte, si impara dai propri errori!

In questa sfida ci concentreremo sul RuleSet MELEE MAYHEM:

Con questa regola tutti i mostri con attacco fisico potranno attaccare da qualsiasi posizione essi vengano schierati. Sarà quindi utile e vantaggioso utilizzare abilità che possano contrastare attacchi Melee come Thorns e Demoralize.

Nella sfida che ho preso in considerazione

le ulteriori limitazioni sono:

• Up Close and Personal che obbliga entrambi i partecipanti ad utilizzare solamente mostri con attacco Melee;
• Healed Out che annulla completamente tutte le cure.

LINEUP

Era mia intenzione usare una carta devastante come Quora (nonostante io l'abbia ancora al livello 1) per poter sfruttare il suo doppio attacco (Magico e Melee), nonostante non potessi giocare le 2 carte con attacco Ranged e abilità Martyr che abitualmente uso per buffarla (Fungus Flinger e Venari Marksrat) . Assieme a lei, ho deciso di danneggiare passivamente i mostri del mio avversario con l'abilità Thorns e di ridurre il loro attacco con l'abilità Demoralize. Ho quindi preferito Helios Matriarch a Lobb Lowland perchè mi dava +1 in velocità, ma soprattutto mi permetteva di utilizzare 2 elementi nella mia squadra.

Ho scelto DJINN CHWALA come Tank per sfruttare la sua abilità Thorns.

MYCELIC INFANTRY, nonostante sia una carta molto lenta, ho deciso di schierarla per la sua abilità Shield e ridurre del 50% gli attacchi che riceveva dai mostri avversari. In questo modo poteva sopravvivere più a lungo e sfruttare il suo elevato danno.

DISINTEGRATOR aggiunge un ulteriore Debuff a tutta la squadra avversaria: -1 all'attacco Melee di TUTTO il team avversario. Considerando che il questa sfida è possibile usare solo mostri Melee, diventa una carta fondamentale.

QUORA TOWERSHEAD, come detto in precedenza, ho deciso di schierarla per sfruttare il suo doppio attacco visto che i mostri melee possono attaccare da ogni posizione. Non potrò sfruttare a pieno il suo potenziale perchè le cure non sono ammesse in questa sfida, ma l'abilità Bloodlust potrebbe rivelarsi comunque decisiva.

LICHEN BEAST potrà sembrare una carta strana in questa squadra. Onestamente è stata l'ultima carta che ho scelto e quindi ho cercato di sfruttare tutto il mana a mia disposizione. La mia scelta è ricaduta su questa carta anche per l'abilità Enrage, sperando non ricevesse troppi danni per poterla utilizzare.

MATCH

Il mio avversario ha deciso di concentrarsi principalmente sulla velocità e sul danno schierando 2 mostri con Double Strike, abilità che permette di effettuare 2 attacchi consecutivi. I miei mostri subiranno un -1 al loro attacco perchè anche il mio avversario ha deciso di schierare Disintegrator. Avrò anche -1 in velocità dovuto a Quix the Devious

ROUND 2

All'inizio del secondo Round purtroppo ho già perso il mio Tank, ma il suo lavoro lo ha fatto: indebolire i mostri avversari grazie alla sua abilita, che si attiva anche quando l'attacco dell'avversario colpisce l'armatura. Quora non si è ancora attivata, ma per il momento resto in partita.

ROUND 3

Anche il terzo round lo inizio con uno svantaggio numerico, ma questo è il turno della svolta: molti attacchi verranno annullati da Mycelic Infantry ed il mio team potrà continuare a fare danni.

ROUND 4

Il turno 4 si apre con importante piacevole notizia: Quora si è finalmente attivata ed ora farà 5 danni con i suoi 2 attacchi. Mycelic Infantry ancora resiste ed anche Disintegrator è ancora nella squadra.

ROUND 5

Quora diventa inarrestabile e il danno del mio avversario si riduce al solo attacco della Runi. La partita volge a mio vantaggio e la vittoria è praticamente certa.

ROUND 6

Quora è sempre più forte ma oramai non c'è più nulla da fare. La vittoria è garantita.
