BANDUNG
The Beauty Of Nature And The Glitter Of The City Become One In The City Of Bandung

Hello all how are you?
Hope you all are healthy and happy.

Some time ago I went to visit one of the cities in West Java province, specifically the city of Bandung. This city is nicknamed the flower city. There is a lot of history that has occurred in this city, one of the most famous histories is the Bandung Sea of Fire which occurred during the colonial period in Indonesia. Behind this terrible history, now the city of Bandung is a beautiful city with all kinds of tourism. It is the most visited city and is quite a dense city.

I was on holiday from work at that time, and I decided to go to Bandung. The distance from Jakarta to Bandung is not far enough, just take the train and I arrived there in approximately 3-3.5 hours. I got ready when the weekend arrived and didn't forget to book the tickets first. This is done so that I don't run out of tickets and get the seat I want.

On the way, I just looked at the street view out the window and occasionally ate the snacks I had prepared. And I arrived at Bandung station. When I arrived there I rented a motorbike for Rp. 80,000,- per day. With a motorbike I am free to go wherever I want.

BANDUNG GREAT MOSQUE

The first thing I really wanted to visit was the Bandung Grand Mosque, this famous mosque is very popular with visitors of various ethnicities and religions. At that time, at the time of the noon prayer call, I arrived in Bandung, I decided to worship at the Bandung Grand Mosque. After that, I looked for a route to Tebing Keraton. A little reckless, because it was my first time in this city and I only rented a motorized vehicle to get around the city of Bandung.

TEBING KERATON

Tebing Keraton is one of the natural tourist attractions in Bandung, specifically at Dago Dream Park. At that time, this tourist spot was on the rise and was talked about a lot by tourists. Especially after photos of its beauty spread widely on social media, especially Instagram, this place started to become busy and full of tourists. This place is full of charm. Especially for those of you who like to hunt for photos when the sunrise arrives. This is why this place is usually busier in the morning around 6 to 7 am.

If you have an Instagram account, try searching with the keyword Tebing Keraton. In just a moment, it is certain that photos of the beauty of this place will appear on the homepage of your Instagram account.

But despite the beauty of the scenery, the journey to the palace cliffs is very steep and rugged. Maybe it's because the cliff location of the palace is on a hill which is located above a steep cliff, but it all pays off with the very beautiful view of the pine forest around it. Its location at an altitude of around 1200 meters above sea level also means that the air temperature is quite cool so it is comfortable as a place to relax. Tourists who come to Tebing Keraton generally aim to hunt for photos or watch the beautiful sunrise.

Apart from hunting for photos and sunrises, there are several activities that can be done on the palace cliffs. As follows :

  1. Tracking
The path to Tebing Keraton is approximately 1 kilometer with a route that goes up and down, quite steep and this can be entertainment for tourists who like tracking.

  2. Cycling
Apart from tracking, the route to the palace cliff can also be traversed by bicycle. And this is a challenge for tourists who like cycling on extreme routes.

  3. Enjoy the beauty of the clouds
The palace cliffs are covered in beautiful clouds like a carpet at the ends of the pine trees around the palace cliffs. By relaxing and enjoying the beauty, you can get rid of all the busy tiredness in your body.

  4. The beauty of the sunset and sunrise
It's not surprising that many tourists come in the morning and also in the afternoon. Because the palace cliffs have the right position and are beautiful at sunrise and sunset. A view that is highly sought after by tourists and photo hunters.

  5. Camping
At the cliff location of the palace, a large area of land has also been provided for the camp. For tourists who want to camp, they can rent a tent for Rp. 140,000,- and if you bring your own camping equipment, tourists are only charged to pay for the land amounting to Rp. 40,000,-. Apart from camps, homestays are also provided here at affordable prices, so if tourists are more comfortable with homestays, they are provided here.

TICKET PRICE

The ticket price to enter the location is only Rp. 11,000,- for local residents and Rp. 70,000,- for foreign citizens. There is also a parking area provided here, so it is safe to bring a vehicle.

That's a little review from me about Cliff Keraton, Bandung. Honestly, when I went there the conditions were cloudy and I didn't get any pretty beautiful moments or views. But so far I'm enjoying my trip, because it's not the photos I'm after but my journey while there.

GEDUNG SATE

After returning from the palace cliff, I stopped by Gedung Sate, a building that is an icon of the city of Bandung. This building, which is located in the center of Bandung, is always the center of attention of anyone who comes to visit the city.

And across from Gedung Sate, there is the Gedung Sate park. I stopped for a moment to fill my stomach with typical Bandung food and wander around.

BRAGA STREET

Braga Street always attracts attention, this street is often discussed by anyone who visits Bandung. Out of curiosity, I stopped by and took a walk at night, occasionally stopping at one of the cafes there. Like walking around in tourist cities in general. On each sidewalk, tourists will see several musicians singing and playing music, many artists selling their work, such as paintings and so on.

This road is very busy and a bit congested due to the large number of people visiting this location. After that I decided to go home, because my train schedule was approaching.

That was my trip while in the city of Bandung, visiting the palace cliff, the Bandung Grand Mosque, Gedung Sate, the town square and finally taking a night walk on Jalan Braga which was full of Bandung artists.
