PEUCANG ISLAND: A Paradise For Wildlife And Beach Lovers
Hello Traveler …
Today I want to tell you about my trip to Peucang Island located in Ujung Kulon, Banten, Indonesia. This island, which has beautiful sea and white sand beaches, is very worthy to visit and is one of the must-visit wishlists.
THE NATURAL BEAUTY OF PEUCANG ISLAND
Peucang Island is famous for its fine white sandy beaches, crystal clear sea water, and pristine natural scenery. With a calm atmosphere and far from the hustle and bustle of the city, Peucang Island is an ideal destination for tourists seeking tranquility and nature exploration.
The main characteristic of this island is its white, clean and fine sand. Suitable for relaxing, playing in the sand or just enjoying the scenery. This island also has clear sea water so that the blue color of the sea is very clear and soothing to the eyes. In addition to the beach, this island also has a tropical forest that adds to the beauty and provides a shady atmosphere and is a habitat for wildlife around the island.
TOURIST ACTIVITIES ON PEUCANG ISLAND
On this island we can do water activities, such as snorkeling, diving or just playing in the water on the beach. On this island you can also trek to Karang Copong which you can travel approximately 2-3 kilometers to get there. Because of its location at the northern tip of Peucang Island, you will walk through the forest and during the trip you will see various wild animals including deer, long-tailed monkeys, wild boars, peacocks and various types of rare birds.
It's just that we didn't go there because time didn't allow. We only trekked for a while to see the Kiara tree, one of the giant trees in the forest on this island.
The must-do thing is to wait for the sunrise or sunset moment, because the orange view in the clouds is very amazing. For sunrise you can see it on the side of the pier while for sunset you have to pull over to the west side of the beach because on this side the sunset view is very amazing. On this island, apart from simple accommodation, some tourists choose to set up tents in the area that has been provided.
Camping here allows you to enjoy the natural atmosphere more closely and perfectly. The facilities here are also very complete, ranging from lodging, prayer rooms, toilets, canteens and also communication networks.
TO PEUCANG ISLAND
Because we are from Jakarta, so we took a bus from Jakarta to Sumur Pier, Banten. After arriving at Sumur Pier, we rushed to Peucang Island with a traditional boat owned by local fishermen with a travel time of 3-4 hours. This boat can accommodate up to 50 people and at that time we were only around 30 people.
Try to go there at certain times because the high waves can be dangerous. Come during the summer, around April to September. Because in this month the weather tends to be sunny and the sea looks calm. Don't forget to bring food supplies, medicines and other equipment needed. Don't forget to always maintain cleanliness and throw away trash in its place.
Peucang Beach in Ujung Kulon National Park is the perfect place to enjoy the natural beauty of Indonesia that is still natural. This island offers a combination of beautiful beaches, unique ecosystems, and various exciting activities, from trekking to snorkeling. Suitable for adventurous tourists and families looking for peace.
If you are interested in exotic and off-the-beaten-path nature tourism, Peucang Island is a must on your travel list! 🌴
