Food Truck Festival
Food Truck Festival
Whenever I hear there's a food truck festival, I feel like we should check it out because often they have some great food, even though they're usually very expensive. I often miss the announcements of events in our area or the next town simply because I still have not found the perfect channels to keep track of these events. I took a mental note here to ask a friend about these channels so that I will be aware of them in advance instead of very last minute as was the case with this food truck festival.
One's pleasure is the other one's horror
I was speaking to a friend who told me she'd been up way too late simply because of this food truck festival near her home. She said they used to have events there a few nights a week but this time it had been a while since they organized anything. That is until the music and loud voice through a speaker kept her up all night. I felt bad for her because I know all too well how these things can drive you crazy, we lived in a municipality square for a year and it was not something you could ignore when there was an event. The best way was to get out and be part of it. But what if the event is not that great?
We decided to drive to her area
And check it by ourselves. We didn't know the exact location but at some point, it was just following the noise to get to the right spot, lol. We tried to park the car but it was a difficult task and we had to drive a few rounds to park the car just when another car left. Just our luck!
New area
Although we've been to her place just around the corner quite a few times, we never really noticed this open square and that this would be a possible place for events. I also never noticed the quite big street with all sorts of shops. I always thought the nearest shops were at the big shopping mall a bit further. I quite enjoyed walking through this street to see all the tiny stores and there are a few that I'd like to check out another day because it was too crowded to do so that evening.
The noise was real
Flashbacks to our time in another Spanish little town where they held a "fashion show" right below our balcony, we laughed about it at the time because of the lack of organization which was quite obvious from above, haha. This time, I felt for the neighbors (and mostly my friend) because this noise was another level, they had this speaker on such a loud volume that we quickly checked out the food trucks to then leave. We figured we might as well need our hearing later and spare ourselves the earaches.
The food trucks were average
I didn't see any non-greasy stuff that we wanted to eat so we skipped eating the overpriced food to quickly find another place to sit and have a tapa instead. Either way, the evening was not all bad, as we found a new part of the city that we can explore in the future. I'm confident more events will follow soon as well (poor friend though).
Ears saved, money saved, time killed.
Interesting to see the food trucks and a pity they didnt have any food that you wanted to try
I feel for your friend having to put up with all the noise at night
Yeah usually there is some more diversity in food trucks in my experience, but let's see next time. The noise was not funny, I would be very annoyed living there because then it's finally time to open the windows and this happens. Glad for her that it's over, unfortunately, summer is here and I think the next event will happen rather sooner than later..
Thanks for stopping by!
yes lets hope next time they have a better variety available and perhaps not so crazy noisy
Many times you have to go out and check how the event is going. It is true that what is good for some may not be so good for others, but you have to see how it goes.
Sometimes they are very expensive, unless there is a promotion or something like that.
I loved the fourth picture, it's beautiful.
Thanks for sharing your walk with us!😀
