Finally, the tooth came out!
A wobbly tooth
Since the last two weeks, maybe even three already, my daughter's tooth started to move. Until now, she only had 2 tiny teeth that came out, when we were still in Budapest. This time it was one of the big front teeth that started to jiggle! I had to laugh a bit because this timing is just awesome, lol, I was expecting the school to let us know about a school picture with the class any day now and I saw it coming that she'd have her pics taken with a missing tooth.
She wanted it out
It took a bit of time before she decided it's annoying and she would rather have it pulled out than wait more days. We checked it and both decided that it should become a bit more wiggly on the other side before her dad would help her get it out. Her first tooth came out while eating when I was there, it was super funny as she was shocked because of the blood. The tooth fairy made up for that quite easily. The second one came out with a bit of help from daddy, but as many things, it was hard to convince her that this would be over soon and she'd be happy afterwards.
Days went by
Where they'd end up in the bathroom discussing if they'd do it now, and then she pulled back as she was too scared. Yesterday was d-day though! We made sure this was not a before bedtime ritual again like the days before, and my boyfriend took the time to convince her. I heard it fall on the ground and knew it was out (from the kitchen where I was standing) and she didn't give one kick! Proud!
Once it was out, she sat on the couch and turned all pale, she wanted to hug me constantly and I noticed she was a bit dizzy so I gave her a blanket and pillow to lay on the couch as you can see in the picture. She was quite calm the next hour, probably a bit in shock, but happy that it was out.
We both didn't expect it to go down that easy and then of course, the tooth fairy talk happened again.
Daddy is the tooth fairy right?
As we didn't get our stories straight I just talked over it and said that I never saw him with a magic wand so that I wasn't sure, lol. Afterwards we discussed it and both saw she was quite convinced that the tooth fairy is us, so next time she asks we'll be honest I guess. We're also wondering if the Santa story will hold this year because she's clearly doubting that too, which is fine imo, I just don't want to ruin the story if not needed so we'll just wait and see how that goes.
Gift challenge incoming
Speaking of which, we have a gift challenge incoming for that part tomorrow, as her new doll house (for Christmas) will be delivered tomorrow and that delivery service rarely comes early. Most-likely they will be here after school time and we have no clue when exactly (can be anywhere until 8 pm), I'm now worried she'll see it because sometimes they don't pack it in an extra box. The santa story may fall sooner than we think.
Oh, and the tooth timing was indeed impeccable! Guess what came home with her today? A note that they have the school pictures taken in two weeks from now, lol. I may have jynxed it, or I have a good gut feeling..
