Daily Blog -Ponta do Pargo lighthouse viewpoint
We head towards the westernmost tip of the beautiful island of Madeira.
There is a beautiful lighthouse in a place called Ponta do Pargo
Perfectly positioned on top of a cliff, for several years it has played the role of solitary guardian of the sea, guiding sailors with its light.
As I approached this iconic lighthouse, recommended throughout the city by various places and even in tourist houses where I passed, I was captivated by its magnificence and the stunning landscape that surrounds it. The imposing lighthouse with its red and imposing color in the surrounding tones.
The sound of waves lapping the rocky cliffs below echoes through the region, providing a serene soundtrack to the experience.
The area is voluminous so you can perfectly hear the scrape of rocks hitting each other along with the waves.
I approached the lighthouse in my fiat panda, which doesn't consume much but doesn't drive anything hehehe😀
I began to realize its historical importance. He witnessed countless stories of the discoveries of the fearless Portuguese who ventured through the challenging waters of the Atlantic. Its imposing presence and the constant light that emanates during the night provide security to all who approach the coast.
The panoramic view offered by Ponta do Pargo is truly spectacular.
It is very accessible and easy to get around on foot as we are on top of the cliff which is quite flat and the car is very close to the lighthouse.
As he walked, he could look out over the vast ocean as far as the eye could see.
the blue contrasts with the volcanic rocks that can be seen many meters above sea level.
The contrast between the deep blue sea and the steep rocks jutting above it created a breathtaking scene.
The vegetation on the cliff is typical of a tropical location.
wrap around the lighthouse creating a perfect and enveloping scenery. The green of the vegetation contrasts with the dark cliffs and rocks weathered by time.
The weather had improved and the fog had lifted quite differently from the morning of the trip.
We were able to appreciate the beauty of the viewpoint in its entirety
The heat was suffocating as it was already around 3pm, but that cool breeze coming from the sea made it an attractive environment to sit and enjoy, there were still those who took the risk and crossed the separation barriers going to the rocky part without any protection , but I preferred not to risk it , if there is a sign not to overtake you have to respect it
I would really appreciate it if you could join me on this adventure, and thank you very much for that.
I'm happy to read what I write :)
