Metaverse the idea of creating your own reality and living it

What if you could attend a live concert of your favorite Rockstar in
another part of the world ?
What if you could hang out with your favorite celebrity or your with
favorite team players ?

Metaverse has the potential of converting "what if " into a reality

Metaverse if done right can turn all these possibilities into realities.

What is Metaverse?

Without going too much into technical details look at metaverse as an
immersive virtual world experience that gets created by the use of
cutting edge technologies like AR (Augmented Reality) and VR (Virtual
reality).

The main idea of creating a metaverse is to facilitate Social
connections and to do that a network of 3d simulated virtual worlds
are created.

If by any chance this looks like an far fetched idea from a Sci- Fi movie then look at this

As per its own Wikipedia it has a user base of 800,000 - 900,000 users.

That only shows the apatite for these kind of metaverses.

Big projects like Sandbox are evolving and growing at a tremendous pace.

Where is the money to develop the infrastructure ?

A good question indeed however it may be noted that web platforms like Facebook gathered traction traction corporations made a beeline to get a chunk of the action.
For them this was the first time that corporates could interact on a one is to one basis with their consumers.

These corporates sure have deep pockets and when it comes to creating immersive user experiences where the consumers can interact directly with the product and the brand then there is no way that they would shy away or back out.
They would only pour in the money in order to out do one another.

Take for instance a cola brands that does a rock concert to engage with the youth in a city would be more than willing to create the experience in the metaverse.
The added benefits would be that there would be less or no logistics involved and the experience can be created to involve a larger user base spread across several cities, regions or countries.

Another strong use emerges as more and more companies are relying on remote workers or work from home.
with virtual offices that exist in the Metaverse companies can create more cohesive teams working in real time and working together despite the physical separation of distance and geographies.
Thus lock downs and physical boundaries would never interfere with corporate business and it would bring down the cost of setting up a physical infrastructure, equipment etc.

Is virtual office in the metaverse the answer to moonlighting ?

Working from home is a reality however it has led to the challenge of moonlighting.
A virtual office in the metaverse can better control the level of access to data a user has and better monitoring can be employed to deal with the challenges of moonlighting.

The idea of Metaverse makes total sense

With the technology that we currently have and the pace with which it is developing it is only correct to say that mobile devices, laptops and PC's are becoming the gateways to enter the Metaverse of choice for the end user.
Metaverses are being developed at an enormous pace.
No matter where you are if you have a internet enabled device and a good enough internet then you can jump into the metaverse at the touch of a button and indulge in a Metaverse gameplay and experience an immersive reality that is as good as it gets.
