RE: Why do I feel so numb?

There are moments when I experience a sense of numbness and insensitivity to the events occurring around me. I'm well-acquainted with this feeling, particularly in situations with excessive chaos and an overwhelming list of tasks. It reaches a point where I become emotionally detached, finding myself inclined to do nothing. In the field of journalism, we refer to this as the narcotic effect of news. It occurs when individuals are bombarded with an excessive amount of information simultaneously, causing them to get stuck in a loop of indecision and ultimately resulting in inaction.
