TikTok CEO is Not TikTok Founder, Many Get Confused With It Because Of US Ban
It turns out Sugar, alcohol and Junk food is not thr only thing people get addicted to, TikTok is part of it.
Not everyone uses TikTok but it's extremely popular. Those who use it or have used it before can attest to what I'm about to say. It can be super addictive. I don't know if you've ever tried to turn off TikTok or uninstall it because it was taking a lot of your day but that's something I experienced about 2 months ago.
I realized I wasn't getting enough time in my day to do a lot because when it's breakfast time or lunch time, I open TikTok and then after 10 minutes of scrolling through content, I'm stuck on the platform because there's just so much entertainment content in there. The TikTok algorithm is really good at showing the best content of interest to any user.
With this kind of innovation, the platform has been able to reach a level only few platforms can match. But the main focus of my blog is on the founder and no it's not Shou Zi Chew.
Remember when US wanted to buy TikTok by force and had a lot of allegations against TikTok regarding privacy and the dangers it poses on children? That was the time Shou Zi Chew became famous because he's the CEO of the company and he's the one the US Court interrogated. So that makes a lot of people think he's the owner of TikTok but he's not.
The real owner and founder of TikTok is called Zhang Yiming. The success of TikTok pushed the founder to the top of China’s rich list.
TikTok has become a fortune that just keeps growing even when he's no longer running the company. Zhang’s $49.3 billion wealth is a proof of how big ByteDance and TikTok have become globally.
About the banning of TikTok, U.S is still considering it and there's a possibility that it might happen in 2025 that is if Donald Trump doesn't become president of the United States of America.
Regardless of all the threats to ban it, they've made profits climbing by 60% just last year, so even regulatory issues are not enough to slow down TikTok's growth.
