OpenAI New Model Orion Could Be 100× more powerful than GPT-4😱
If you thought Chatgpt was good, then I OpenAI and its CEO Sam Altman really wants to impress everyone again with a new AI Model and I didn't know it would happen this year but that's what they want to do.
Yes, so you should be expecting to see OpenAI launch a new AI model and they said it's going to be around December.
They're calling the new model Orion. This model is obviously going to be much more powerful than their current GPT-4 Model. I noticed how they want to now change the names because I thought the next thing would be called GPT-5.
The only downside to this is that it will not be accessible to everyone when it is first released. It's only certain companies, like Microsoft that may have access to it through Azure.
Sam Altman actually denied these specific plans, but the company gave everyone a hint that new technology is coming soon and this is probably it.
I think Orion is going to be the start of an AI model aiming to reach a high level of intelligence and maybe it might get us closer to artificial general intelligence (AGI).
I already spoke about OpenAI’s recent $6.6 billion funding from their investors so they have enough money to build something very good. But things are not all good for Open AI. They've been through lawsuits and key employees have let the company including their Chief Technology Officer but a company with that kind of funding can hire someone good enough to replace anyone that leaves.
OpenAI is growing faster than I actually thought it would and if there's any updates on their tech release, I'll let you know.
Whether it includes AGI or not, rumors have it that it could be 100 times more powerful than GPT-4. Don't take my word for it, this YouTube video explains it further
