At the moment we know that OpenAI isn't making any profits. It's being funded by believers of its potential, the investors are pouring in loads of cash to make Open AI advance and it's no wonder the company is moving with such great speed.

But I think this puts them in a very tough spot. After raising $6.6 billion, the company has just two years to become a for-profit company or return the money to all the investors. I certainly wouldn't want to be Sam the CEO right now because that type of pressure, I can't handle.

This has created a lot of pressure on OpenAI to shift away from its original nonprofit goals which I think is one of the reasons why I'm right for sharing a blog yesterday on how Open AI might just double the cost for using chatgpt premium or plus versions.

When OpenAI first started, its mission was to create AI that benefits everyone, something that could make our daily lives easier and work becomes simple and possibly autonomous.

But now, it needs to focus on making money otherwise it's going to lose funding. This change could lead to legal challenges for the company. For example, some board members might feel the company is going against its original mission and that thought alone could discourage many supporters. Also, the government could step in and argue that OpenAI should still use its assets for charity rather than profits. A whole lot of confusion ahead of them and not to talk or the competition from other AI companies.

I think the main problem is that becoming for-profit might make it harder to convince people that OpenAI is still working for the public good. The image of the company in the eyes of the public will certainly change, how the company handles this and still stay in business will determine their success.

It’s a very big shift no doubt and way too many things could go wrong. OpenAI will need strong support from its board and regulators to make this work. Without that, it could face even bigger challenges down the road and possibly end.

Yes absolutely bro, but for real 6.6 billion is a lot of pressure money to deliver on their promises
