If you want to know the proof that Elon Musk literally wants to run the whole world and might just know how to do it, then continue reading this blog.

So as we speak, Elon Musk's has his own AI company and if you are not already aware of it, I bet you can guess the name, hahaha I'll give you an obvious hint, it starts with "X" hahahaha

His AI company is calling xAI and the company just pulled off something pretty sick. They just powered up 100,000 NVIDIA chips at the same time. It's very big progress especially for such a young company that’s still getting its footing.

Just imagine the sheer amount of power running through those chips and what their capabilities would be and knowing Elon with how futuristic the guy can be, eventually he'll double it if he sees progress. In less than six months, xAI turned their Memphis data center into the most powerful computer on the planet, and they didn’t just do it quietly, this thing when past what the experts thought was even possible.

There’s been a lot of skepticism about the entire project though. It can be extremely dangerous trying to handle such level of computing power. Let me give you a perfect scenario of what Musk is trying to do.

Managing that many GPUs at once is almost no different from a person trying to tame a hurricane but the surprising thing is that the company ended up succeeding with the attempt.

So right now, with such computing power, they can properly train a lot of AI models and the company claims that they will have more computing power than any model we know of right now.

So if you're sitting down thinking AI is cool and advanced today, you'll be surprised what it'll be capable of doing in the space of one year.

All of this is making me wonder what the negative effect will be on Energy consumption of the entire planet. We already have Cryptocurrency mining and a lot of global warming issues from our vehicle carbon emissions. With AI joining the party, it could get riskier to breath air, hahaha

But the money aspect is another issue as well. Powering something this big isn’t cheap, and it’s no small feat to keep these machines running without melting the freaking planet.

I think this is why we're seeing all these partnerships and investments popping up around infrastructure projects, it’s pretty much the only way to sustain this kind of computing power. Everyone seems to be convinced that more power equals better AI, and they might not be wrong. Each step brings us closer to AI models that can do things we couldn't have imagine.

I'm waiting to see what type of AI tools they can develop from these new infrastructures and how good the AI would be.
