Por fin, de nuevo el poderosísimo Don't Starve. Ya no sé cuántos posts he hecho acerca de este juego, pero es un hecho que jamás me voy a cansar.

Para esta ocasión traigo un mapa que solo jugamos un par de horas, pero fue diferente porque aparte de @jotaunive también @gabrielserra decidió jugar con nosotros. Como ya muchos saben, él es uno de los amigos más cercanos que he conocido en Hive así que hace unos meses lo obligué a descargar DST para que jugara con nosotros. El tiempo pasó y nunca jugamos de forma decente, y para ser honesto, esta vez tampoco fue la excepción, pero al menos logré tomar screenshots de nuestra partida haha.

Antes de seguir con este post le agradezco a @jotaunive quien me regaló una skin para mi antorcha. Es curioso que luego de haber comprado tantos packs de skins y distintas cosas, jamás me hayan dado una skin para mi antorcha (que es un item básico dentro del juego).

Debo admitir que no tenía ni idea de que me la había regalado y cuando se lo mencioné me dijo que ese regalo llevaba muchos días allí, lol. Últimamente no he jugado mucho porque no disfruto jugar esto en solitario y Jota (con quien juego el 90% de las veces) ha estado teniendo unos días muy ocupados, por lo que no hemos conseguido tiempo para jugar.

@gabrielserra es alguien que no sabe jugar DST para nada y usualmente se quedaba sin ideas o cosas que hacer al jugar. Así que básicamente fue nuestro pequeño hijo mientras nosotros nos encargábamos de recolectar materiales (y también nos hacía caso ya que hacía las cosas apenas se lo pedíamos).

Me da risa porque Gab eligió a su personaje pensando que era Wolfgang, cuando en realidad su personaje fue Woodie. Wolfgang es un personaje completamente distinto y es mi main (que tengo bastante personalizado y me encanta el estilo único que tiene ahora). Woodie, por otro lado, es un personaje de utilidad que puede farmear cantidades industriales de madera y también se convierte en distintos monstruos que pueden ayudar a recolectar materiales, explorar el mapa o también a funcionar como tanques en contra de otros mobs. Woodie es un personaje lleno de muchísima utilidad.

Como siempre, nos encargamos de recolectar materiales básicos para sobrevivir. Paja, palos, madera y piedra son las cosas que buscamos al comenzar un mapa para poder construir las máquinas de ciencia y demás.

Algo que siempre me resulta gracioso cuando nos vamos a tomar fotos juntos es que es imposible ponernos de acuerdo respecto a qué lado ver. Al parecer es una especie de bug visual que hace que nos confundamos completamente porque no sabemos hacia donde estamos viendo, por lo que usualmente terminamos viendo hacia otro lugar completamente diferente cuando desde nuestra perspectiva se ve normal.

Luego de pasar un par de minutos intentando tomar una foto correcta, hicimos lo de siempre. Yo solo pasee por el mapa explorando y noté que la generación de este mundo fue realmente increíble. Teníamos una parte llena de oro a un costado, árboles y un montón de comida a otro y eso nos facilitó enormemente todo.

Y hablando acerca de la generación de mundo..

Mientras exploraba encontré este lago. Es la primera vez que encuentro un lago generado en forma de triángulo y me pareció bastante curioso. Eso definitivamente es algo con muy muy muy pocas probabilidades de spawneo, así que lo guardaré como un logro :P

Y para finalizar el mapa porque Serra estaba ocupándose con otras cosas y Jota debía irse a atender cosas personales, por lo que decidí cerrar el mapa porque no tenía ganas de jugar solo :(

Finally, the mighty Don't Starve again. I don't know how many posts I've made about this game, but it's a fact that I'll never get tired of it.

For this occasion I bring a map that we only played a couple of hours, but it was different because apart from @jotaunive also @gabrielserra decided to play with us. As many already know, he is one of the closest friends I've met on Hive so a few months ago I forced him to download DST to play with us. Time passed and we never played decently, and to be honest, this time was no exception either, but at least I managed to take screenshots of our game haha.

Before I continue with this post I want to thank @jotaunive who gave me a skin for my torch. It's funny that after buying so many packs of skins and different things, I never got a skin for my torch (which is a basic item in the game).

I must admit I had no idea he had given it to me and when I mentioned it to him he told me that gift had been there for many days, lol. I haven't played much lately because I don't enjoy playing this solo and Jota (who I play with 90% of the time) has been having a busy few days, so we haven't gotten time to play.

@gabrielserra is someone who doesn't know how to play DST at all and usually ran out of ideas or things to do when playing. So basically he was our little son while we were in charge of collecting materials (and he also listened to us since he did things as soon as we asked him to).

I get a chuckle because Gab chose her character thinking it was Wolfgang, when in reality her character was Woodie. Wolfgang is a completely different character and is my main (which I have pretty much customized and I love the unique style he has now). Woodie, on the other hand, is a utility character that can farm industrial amounts of wood and also turns into different monsters that can help collect materials, explore the map or also function as tanks against other mobs. Woodie is a very useful character.

As always, we are in charge of collecting basic materials to survive. Straw, sticks, wood and stone are the things we look for when we start a map in order to build the science machines and so on.

Something I always find funny when we go to take pictures together is that it's impossible to agree on which side to look at. Apparently it's some sort of visual bug that makes us completely confused because we don't know which way we're looking, so we usually end up looking somewhere completely different when from our perspective it looks normal.

After spending a couple of minutes trying to take the right picture, we did the usual. I just wandered around the map exploring and noticed that the generation of this world was really amazing. We had a part full of gold on one side, trees and a lot of food on the other and that made everything a lot easier.

And talking about the world generation...

While exploring I found this lake. It's the first time I find a lake generated in the shape of a triangle and I found it quite curious. That's definitely something with very very very very low spawning probabilities, so I'll save it as an achievement :P

And to finish the map because Serra was busy with other things and Jota had to leave to attend to personal things, so I decided to close the map because I didn't feel like playing alone :(
