I saw it like for the seventh time in June this year. I was always hesitant about watching it because I didn’t want it to ruin the impression that book left me. What a piece of great work I was missing. While it’s not exactly better than the book, it’s certainly worth it. The whole production is incredible and Dustin Hoffman was excellent as the old wise Baldini. I’m currently reading the book for the fourth time, I don’t know but this story has something captivating that grabs you and never lets you go. If you haven’t read it, well, you must. I did a review about it this year on this platform. Glad you chose this one for your fist review.

Oh wow 😳! Does it have a book? How do I get it? I'd love to read. And yes! It's such a captivating story. It's intriguing to know you've watched it like seven times already, that's crazy! I wish I could be like that. I always have difficulty watching a movie or reading a book a twice. 😅😅

Hey, sorry I couldn’t reply before. Yes, The Perfume is based on a best-selling book and is a great piece of work. If you look at the poster of the movie in your post you will see that it says so. I can tell you the real joy of reading a book is to read it for the second, third, and many times more. When you read something of the first time it’s always difficult and even painful, but after a second or more reads you understand it more and you begin to love it, even if it’s not perfect. Same happens with movies, if it’s a good one, of course, you start noticing those little details you couldn’t catch when you saw it for the first time. I did a little review this year about The Perfume, you can find it on this link: https://ecency.com/hive-180164/@thereadingman/here-they-are-the-10-96162100bf6ff Hope you like it!
