Music - My escape from Overthinking

I think a lot and so do you. Maybe mine can be a little excessive but I believe problems can be overwhelming sometimes and it will require the mind is stretched, at some points, it might go beyond the yield limits.

Being excessive with thoughts is able to strip you off your peace and this alone is a living hell.

A few days ago, i thought to get back into my designing game. Build something new and at least get some payments.

At a normal stretch in less than 24hours I should come up with a content and design for social media but I realized it took me more than 48hours to even come up with a draft.

It first started with not getting the patterns well until my system started to Lag and it hightened the frustration until what I do doesn't make any sense.

At first it felt like I should hit the laptop on the floor and cover myself with cloth and have a good sleep but who will sleep after destroying his property?

Have you experienced times when you want to break whatever is close to you because in the depth of your heart is a burning coal, waiting to be poured out but the price of what to be broken, does scare you?

This same headache and feelings is what I experience anytime I have a work burnout

But I have a cure ! It's music.

Why do I think Music is a solution to solving overthinking?

Musics are made of notes, rhythms and tunes and it has a way of sending the concious mind into scenes that are different from the initial thoughts.

I would call it a diversion, most especially if you listen to them with your headphones or have it play out loud. It sends signals to the brain cells which keeps it relaxed.

Haven't you noticed that a 30min music of your choice can keep you hydrated from burnout?

A number of times, I've tried it and I realized with music, at the moment my worries were not my concerns, my concerns was how I chewed the lyrics of the songs and how I ensured my body is moving in alignment with the music rhymes.

What type of Music can I play to escape Excessive overthinking?

There's no specific music but I'll suggest you play music from your favourite artist or play your favourite songs. Any music you know the lyrics even if you're in Dreamland. This type of songs doesn't need you to start memorizing each words, once you play it in seconds you begin to vibe to it's tunes because you love it .

Is music that important to avoiding overthinking?

Yes, but music is temporary. The thoughts you left will surely come back and the cycle will be repeated again.

But I feel it's best to cut the dragon in the head rather than try to prevent it from throwing out fire at all times.

How do you stop overthinking?

It's simple. I have decided to do the following things to ensure I'm mentally stable, they include :

  1. Do a thing at a time.
  2. Create a work-life balance.
  3. Ensure you eat well
  4. Have a partner that you love to talk to. Don't be isolated.
  5. Enjoy your job.
  6. If you can't get it right now, take a break. You'll get it if you rest for a few minutes and then pick it up again.
  7. If you're a fan of video games, get yourself busy with it.

In conclusion

This is what I do. Music can help but it is only temporary. If you can properly set up systems that ensures you kill the dragon once, there won't be a need to run into overthinking at all times.
