A few tips for new hivers - A brief of my experience so far on Hive.

Hive is a great place , I like the system in which it's built upon but I was more concerned about the reward systems just like many others when I first started. I'm some months off now with 30% activeness, hoping to improve
I find it fun to write and get rewarded for it and a lot of times, I'm as cool as the old days because my contents are nice and they are worth a medal
I'm glad I found hive because I had learned a few things from it. Thanks to @Startstrings01 for the guidance and support so far.
At first I had thought it was a bed of rosses, a place with a conditioned lifestyle where I make a pick of goodies in form of rewards and hope to have it again another time.
Nah ! Time proved my guilt and shamed me off my shoulder.
I was sad when my post doesn't earn me anything anymore.
I asked my friend and Tutor @starstrings01 how he has managed to get a good following and decent rewards and he gave me a few tips.

Before that, I did have a lot of bad times, here are a few :
1. Navigating my way through the site:
This was at first a tough knuckle to me. It wasn't like the social media platform I knew, it was built in a different way to serve a greater good.
As a newbie, navigating my ways around it was one of the sucking moments for me but getting to know about every tool, communities is dependent on time.
Giving your time to check through the alpha and Omega of the software and having someone to put you through.
2. Engaging other individuals:
If it were like the Social Media, engaging can be a easy peasy procedure. To comment will require I click on the post from the community and then add a comments.
The commenting part isn't the hardest part of it. I Practically don't have an idea of virtually every contents I see. If felt like magic, and I had thought these guys are writing from a different planet most especially when I get into the Leofinance community, I just can't underestand a higher percentage of what I find people saying.
Until I realized there were other communities like the Self improvement, the Movie community and a writing club communities.
After doing a tour the past few days, I found rest. I'm able to reblog and then comment freely on the post I understand.
As newbies, engaging is very important to learn and meet new friends. To do this will require getting yourself to find communities you love and understand and give in your best.
I hope to make new friends soon 🥰🖐️
3. I wanted to be a jack with the multicolored Shirt
I wasn't stable, after discovering other communities, I wanted to explore all and it sucks .
I finally found myself to love the movies and self improvement with some sprinkle of financial advice. After finding my feet, I was able to make a content plan.
I believe in trying other communities but it is best you find the ones that resonate more with you and try to be relevant and active there.
So here is the plan in a summerized format .
1. Find a niche ( Communities you like and get yourself deeply involved but don't forget to once in a while explore other communities).
2. Make engaging your lifestyle
Hive loves activities and to get ahead of many others who have given up is to keep engaging on people's contents. Read, enjoy and make new friends.
3. Write valuable contents - I have always been a preacher of value as it has always been a duty of mine to ensure everything I write isn't just a fun fact jammed together to tell a fairy tale but to help someone get a better insight and as well cause people to be entertained ( Most especially my movie reviews).
Thanks to @starstrings01 he has been a good friend and a mentor and I hope to share some few testimonies when I celebrate my 1 year on this great platform
I hope this will be helpful to someone ✅
