DHF and other nonsense on Hive.

Drama and Jokes.

The Hive Name.png
The drama is non stop. The joke numerous. The drama is the self righteousness of the individual. The joke is how many follow.

So many follow to get pittance and combined give so much more. A bit like living in a country. There is X amount available to spend. Being able to decide where that spending will go brings great advantage. It is amazing that the only time you will hear from a dev is when they want a vote to their proposal.

What you see now with the DHF I voiced back then. The point I gave up on even thinking about the DHF is when it paid out 30K for someone to communicate with exchanges after the 24 HF. When all of the major exchanges want to list HIVE HBD. Someone in the circle got 30K and then done fuck all.

From what I have seen. It does not matter how good your proposal is or what the proposal is meant to do. If the right people like the way you suck. Your proposal will go through. If you are not in favour. It does not matter how much benefit would be brought to the chain. Your proposal will not succeed. However, If someone liked does the same later. It succeeds.

No payments should be made to any developer until he produces product, In this case code and the code is tested. At that time if the code works and is secure. They should get ample reward. This thing to pay as they go and never reach an end product is a joke on the population of the chain.

My understanding is the DHF should fund Hive project that improve the capabilities of the chain.

So something like Peakd I feel has improved on the basic blogging. I us Peakd myself. I voted their proposal. However at what point should they become self reliant. Or should a front end always be reliant on the DHF. My own view is Peakd should have diverged long ago.

How long have those projects getting funded been getting financed. What is the total each has received. And how have they been a benefit to the chain?

How does giving finance to actifit improve the chain? Ask the same for every project that gets funding. If code is being funded. Then how much longer will it take to finish the code?

On the other side of things. Would it be wise to let mass amounts of HBD build up? A sudden release of so much could be damaging. Or the temptation for those at the top too much.

The DHF was designed to provide what those who designed it wanted.

The chain has stalled in my opinion. It has no ambitions. The developers are in the twilight zone. Writing code to be writing. Because there is no authority to hold anyone accountable.

Then comes the snarky comment. Make your own fork. Which I heard numerous times. That informed me that the chain was owned (controlled) and the decentralisation was a mere front.

All of that said. does not mean Hive is a bad place to be. It only means I don't dine with the elite. But then who brings the elite their food.

Those who sit at the table of choices have no vision. They do not see Hive doing more than it does now. They disregard the future needs of the chain, because that is not in their realm, they code.

Everyone on the chain. has some vested interest. Those at the top have more vested than us lower. However, They would survive the loss much easier than those on a lower level whom might even rely on Hive as an income source now.

What are those at the top doing to ensure HBD or HIVE will have any value in the future. Before anyone comes back with you cannot give a guarantee. You could, right now the structure is not there. But a Guarantee on every HBD getting a set value at anytime can be done. This can be done for any item.

You do not need 1 million to pay out 1 million.

They are just point of view from experience. But yes Hive runs like a country. Those with the finance make the choices.

Thanks for reading. You must be the first (Snook excluded) that read something I wrote and survived in over a year.

There is really only one solution, buy more hive.

IF we could get folks to stop dumping, that would be great.
But, the biggest curators seem to love the dumpers just a little bit more than the hodlers.
And sure 'nuff more than anybody that voices dissenting opinions.
Or, that doesn't type in the most dulcet of tones.
Scammers get more support than dissenters, smdh.

I blame you and me. The question in my mind is how could we work together to build something that can make changes?
Because a detective agency ain't gonna do it. The bad sort arrive faster than can be controlled.

The bad sort arrive faster than can be controlled.

This is not true.
I've been flagging abuse since it cost vote mana to do it.
Now the little abusers get plenty of negative feedback shortly after one of us finds them.
The big abusers are allowed to continue because they are out of our collective reach.

Powering up more hive solves that.

Trust me, 15K hive and you would never keep up with what I can do. That I try to make best use of what is here and not abuse it. That's just me.

Great post, alot of truth spoken.

I get why there is a DHF but i never liked it because of the reasons you pointed out. Who gets funded is picked by the 1% and most of time, HIVE gets very little back for the money it issues.
