The Beauty Through The Chaos

Hello Everyone,
My country, Sri Lanka, has already announced its bankruptcy. Corrupt politicians and laws have brought this crisis upon us. Now, we are paying high taxes, high energy bills, and suffering from high inflation. (Previously, the inflation rate was 95%, and now we are at 62%).

Sri Lanka is famous for Ceylon Tea, which is one of the best in the world, Ceylon Cinnamon, as well as being a popular tourist destination, and it has many heritage sites. Moreover, we have had a good education system, which has provided opportunities to build this country. However, people have made mistakes while selecting politicians to represent them.

Personally, this crisis has impacted myself and my family. Many of my colleagues are migrating, and I am also planning to do the same. In the meantime, I am traveling more than 5 hours per day to get to my workplace via public transportation, which has a negative impact on my health (there are a lot of viral fevers out there). People are not wearing masks, and I think we are at the dawn of another COVID outbreak.

While all these bad things are happening in my life and surroundings, one day the bus I took to go home suddenly stopped in the middle of a bridge due to heavy traffic near Dodanduwa, Galle - Sri Lanka. I was able to capture this beautiful sunset during the traffic jam. I believe it was a breathtaking sight. However, I feel that I am missing out on truly appreciating the beauty of my country due to the chaos caused by the people and politicians who are responsible for our current situation.

It is not easy to live in a country with a lot of corruption.

However it is good that there is now blockchain technology and hive in particular that can help you to get another revenue stream in a currency that hasn’t got 62% inflation.

I hope things get better over time for your country, but in the meantime stack those HBD’s in savings to get 20% rent and grow a fund to live on or to be able to migrate to anther country.
