Preparing for passing through Diglett's cave and moving on

This is a play through of Pokemon Blue by using RetroArch to emulate the game. I am randomising the Pokemon in areas with similar strength so it isn't completely randomised, while choosing three starters of similar types

It was back to the East time in that grassy open section, with trainers still to be beaten to take advantage of the money and experience to be gained there.

The gambler up next had a Meowth to start, coins scattered from its pay day move but Dratini took Meowth down in a few bubblebeams.

A little into the fight against the next Pokemon, a Voltorb, Dratini was healed with a super potion in order to take more damage so it wouldn't die to those sonicboom's, doing a decent chunk of damage.

Dratini got close to fainting in the next fight, with a strong Machoke getting in some good karate chops and bringing Dratini, right down to almost fainting.. a super potion was used to prevent this and luckily it allowed finishing this Machoke off, gaining another victory and some good cash to add to the wallet.

Things were going quite well up until this point and Grimer was going to get stronger now. Of course after defeating an Oddish and an Eevee, it would be a Dewgong to take down the Grimer and its aurora beam would just be too strong!

Wartortle and Dratini were the next to fall to the strength of Dewgong and it wasn't until Venonat was used, that the victory was finally secured.

The end of this section had a tree on its own and when it got checked, an escape rope was found like how other random places or objects, can have an item hidden in it. These are good for escaping caves though dig is a good move for that.. just has not been taught to a Pokemon yet!

Finally it was up to the last battle being fought in this area before heading to Diglett's cave and it was against a Gambler.

He had brought out a Koffing at first which got hit hard, by the body slams of Grimer and saw a quick turn around in defeating it. Something awesome came out next which was Omanyte and it is a rarer type of Pokemon to have.

Once again though, the body slam of Grimer did the work and including a paralysis, Omanyte was soon beaten and giving level twenty seven to Grimer!

After reaching the entrance for Diglett's cave and using a super potion on any lower health Pokemon, Goliath entered and used a repel right away, to ensure he didn't get bombarded with wild Diglett fights.

He made it through with ease and no battles which was a quick run through.. on the other side and before cutting a small tree he could see in front of this building outside the other side of the cave, inside the house was a guy looking to trade his Exeggcute for a Scyther which Goliath neither had, nor would he want to if he did.

After cutting down that small tree, Goliath went into the bigger building and spoke to Professor Oak's aide, which due to catching at least ten types of Pokemon, he got HM05 which was flash and needed for the darkest caves or places.

Last but not least in this new area among the out route he previously has traveled near Viridian Forest, a couple of items were found lying on the ground outside this building.. there was a hp up which will help make a Pokemon gain extra health, then also a moon stone for any Pokemon requiring it for evolution, like his Jigglypuff should he continue using it.

Emulator used: RetroArch with a Gameboy Colour core
ROMS: Pokemon Blue after being put through the randomiser
Saving: (Used for quick loading and for getting back to before I had all Pokemon faint, if I lose and so it is quicker.)
